It's cos it's fake :p

she'd look really good if she put on a bit of weight cos I do think she's gorgeous.

How sad that 1 player can make people go buy tickets. I wonder if most of them are high school girls.

I think people are just very curious as to what someone worth 250 MIL $ can do on a field. Once the hype all dies down, they'll be returning to their usual sports.

MLS rating are one of the worst leagues in the States
NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, WNBA, NCAA, all these leagues have better tv ratings and ticket sales.

But hey, thats just me.

Soccer in America wont be popular in America. Even if there was 11 David Beckhams in the team.

Exactly. Pele didn't make it popular with the NY Cosmos, neither did George Best with the LA Aztecs. I don't see why Becks or should I say, 'Bucks' (huhuhu) would get it done.

At least Pele and Best were some of the greatest of all time.

Pele did make football popular went he joined the Cosmos. Obviously it didn't last, but he did have an effect. He was drawing crowds of 50,000 people.

Besides, Beckham has drawn all this publicity before even lacing up his boots. A lot of the people who see this on the news are going to be intrigued enough to watch a match or two, and they might get hooked.

1) Become a Scientologist. Maybe hanging out with Tom and Katie for so long could have had some impact. Still, it looks like Scientology could really offer someone like Victoria some real spiritual enlightenment. According to its UK site, the Church of Scientology offers answers to society's "most crucial" questions. No more dilemmas about whether to go for the Prada or the Gucci handbag then, Posh. Phew!
Weren't her and David Kaballists for a bit? She seems the kind to hop on whatever religion is in the papers. Scientology's getting a bit of a bad rap at the minute, so she might wait until Bahá'í or Zoroastranism get popular.

Well that's my point, it didn't last. The MLS need to find a way to make it last. I'm aware he was drawing crowds of 50 000 to 77 000 (which was the most at Dodgers stadium), but it didn't last as long as was expected.

Like I said, people get caught up with the hype and eventually it dies down.

Time will tell I guess.

Soccer is big in the US its jsut not given oppurtunities like the other sports. It doesnt get huge TV contracts and so forth but it has a following. After bowling ,which I am ashamed to say, it is the number 2 played sport in the US. It just isnt appealing to those Nascar fans like Ive been sayin.
