Even if you could cross out those brackets (you cant), you're left with x = x + x, which DOES NOT mean 1 = 2. x could be 0.
But like I said, you cant cancel the brackets like that. You cant simplfy x^2 - x^2 = x^2 - x^2 to x = x like you're trying to do. Why did you cross the brackets? Cause they are the same? Well in that case, x^2 - x^2 is the same to begin with so using your theory you could just cross both sides out and get 0. And in reality you'd simplify both sides first, and find that x^2 - x^2 = 0, so the answer to the whole problem is simply 0.
So in short, you're method and answer are wrong.
Heres something that will fuck with you thought, 2 + 2 = 5 for large enough instances of 2.
