My biggest fear for City is that this new owner will want big name players in every position. under-rated player like Richard Dunne might lose their place to new signings just because they might have a higher profile. But that wont happen as long as Hughes is calling shots but down the line they might want a more high profile manager like Rijkaard or Mourinho to replace him.

Exactly. My worry is that this sheikh will see the club as his plaything 'cos he probably cares as much about football as we do about camel racing. He may indeed want big names everywhere and forget about the worker bees.

^^he works hard in fairness but his ball control and footballing skills can be awful at times. He is playing well at the moment though.

They would be stupid to sack him. As I told Duke, if they sack Ramos, a new manager comes in and everything starts from 0. They have to adapt all over again.

The same discussion had been held, and is still being held, in regards to Kuyt's place in the national side.
Yes, his footballing skills aren't as good as one would like them to be. But let's be honest, with who are we comparing him? Here he's compared to all the great attacking players we have at the moment. Vaart/Sneyder/Persie/Robben etc etc. Of course, he's not as rawly skilled as those guys but who is?
Kuyt's very strong physique and endurance, his mental toughness, football-savvy (imo he's got good "game-IQ") and ridiculous willingness to work makes him invaluable to any side out there. On top of that he's of course still a skilled football player.
For me, he's a certainty in the Dutch squad.
You have to admit that for the opponent's complete flank, it's a fucking nightmare to have to play against Dirk Kuyt. The guy is quite quick, strong as an ox, lungs of a horse on 'roids and he never gives up. He's all over the pitch.
So in short, skillwise he's not up there with the best. But as an added factor to a complete football team that needs to perform, he is amazing. Even on a bad day he's still putting in the graft for you. On a bad day, Robben or, i dunno, Theo Walcott?, is totally useless.
For me that puts Kuyt right up there with the best. His style is just the slightly different side of the medal at the top level.

nah i agree about Kuyt. He is a good guy. i know i crticise him at times because he has been awful in some games, but i suppose he wasn't a right sided midfielder either. His position was striker so its gonna take him time to get used to playing on the right. He has one well so far this season.
Ye he's always put in solid effort. But he still has to prove himself further. He's capable of alot more. Overall great team player. Babel is the most under-looked. Even last season he showed great potential. I just wish he got more 90 minute games and by mid-season he could be valuable to liverpool's success. Glad Liverpool didnt buy Barry, he was not worth 18 million at that age.

They should throw Babel up front with Keane while torres is out. This injury to Torres could fuck us up. he might make the chelsea game but Wigan is a tricky game. You need to put them away early.
