Would 3G be an issue? I think I remember someone saying something about either the N1 on AT&T (T-Mo version) or the iPhone on T-Mo (US) would let them get 3g? They were on EDGE? I dunno. Whatever.
I don't plan on traveling the world that extensively the next few years. I may... but.. no dual-band phones for me. Or, I won't go out of my way to get one, unless it really is kick-ass.
As usual, I say I won't like something but then I do. I was at the airport today and there was a group of seven black people (irrelevant) dressed up in business clothing. Each and every one of them had iPhone 4s, one had his MBP out and the other had his iPad out.
I'm still a student. I have no need for a Droid (smartphone), a laptop , and a tablet, but I fucking love the notion of tablets now, after thinking that I would never find the use for one. I feel as someone who is somewhat excited by gadgets, having one would be great to watch movies on. Beats the iPod Touch I have to lug around.
Also, speaking of my iPod Touch, I plan on selling it soon and using my phone as a music player. I have never used my phone as my primary music player when traveling but I'm thinking about it now. How badly does it affect battery life, the music player?
I'm thinking about getting DoubleTwist as the player.
You guys gotta try this out, if you use iTunes. You need to be connected to a wireless network, both the laptop and the phone on the same one. It is bad ass.
