Kaka did say a while back that the midfield is getting stacked now with the arrival of Ronaldinho, and now Beckham (Who was useless, and not even sure why he started against Roma, ps: Vucinic is the shit) ...

I expect to see players (older ones) being cleared away from Milan soon enough.

This is a good point.

let's say the best player in the world plays for you. And since the second best is reasonably valued at 35 million, the best is valued at 45 million. Does it matter if someone comes along and offers you a 100 for him? It's almost impossible to get a better or just-as-good replacement, anyway. Whats there to gain from the extra cash, football-wise?

They could offer 7 billion in theory, Milan has little to gain by selling Kaka.
Financially wise, it would be the dumbest thing not to sell him... The financial crisis is the #1 sale factor now, not who you need...

Most owners are losing money in other areas of their possessions... If someone comes along and offers 100.000.000£ for one of their players, they just erased a deficit some company they own created...

I'd sell him, improve my training facilities and youth facilities and create a player 100.000.000£ worth.

not so easy to create a player of that worth. this is real life, not championship manager.

^^well i never saw the game. im just going off what i read but he was supposed to have played pretty well and put in a lot of good crosses. I think he may have got an assist. I know Beckham is just a big circus now but you cant deny that he is a good footballer. The main reason he is in Milan is to sell shirts though.

I feel the same way thuggy. I need a Liverpool premier league win to make me feel better about it. :)

Nah Beckham was unnoticeable. Didn't do anything remarkeably poorly, but nothing good either.

Becks WAS a very good footballer. I'm not sure if he can still bring it on a consistent basis.

Croatian U-21 Anas Sharbini is linked with a 3 MIL move to Celtic. Should be interesting. He's being called the next Robert Prosinecki.

Yeah... Celtic tried to get Semir Stilic (Best player in the first half of the season in Poland) for 3M, but Lech Poznan refused. I'm pissed.

Also, Man City offered a total of 225.000.000 Euros for Kaka. 150.000.000 to the club and 75.000.000 to the player.

He'd get payed about 500.000 Euros per week.

"Manchester City is not the right team for Kaka. Seriously, how can they pay £100million for Kaka?" The Daily Mail quotes the Spaniard as rhetorically asking.
"Manchester City must first play UEFA Cup or Champions League football because I cannot see how any big player would want to play for them until then. Big players want to win trophies and Manchester City is not even in the race for trophies in England, let alone Europe. They are fighting to stay in the Premier League, or to get to the middle of the table.
"They have to build from there and then go against the biggest clubs and after that, maybe, a top player will join them. Chelsea were high in the League before they started to sign really big stars. Now everyone wants to play for Chelsea, but they did not when Roman Abramovich first arrived. They built a strong club and then it happened."

"For now, I cannot imagine Kaka playing for Manchester City. It would be a fantastic contract, yes, but there are other things more important than money. A player wants to be remembered for what he has won, for the medals, for what he has given his club," he continued, before highlighting what is clearly an important idea for Torres: that football is about glory, not about money.
"Imagine 10 years after you stop playing, you go back, you look around, you are not in any picture, you have no medals, no trophies; it is like you played for nothing," he went on.
"You may have a fantastic car, a fantastic home, but what does it matter?"
And Torres confirmed that what he is seeking is the biggest club prize of them all: the Euopean Champions League.
"The biggest ambition in my career is still to win the European Cup," he said.
"I want to have a picture of that to look at later; I want to have that medal. You can have a contract that is better than your friends, but no player looks back and says: 'I won more money'."
Some real talk from Fernando Torres there especially the last 3 lines.
