Even the Portugese fans started hating Ronaldo.
They hate him cause he's an ungrateful shrimp. It all started at the end of Portugal's run to win the Euro. He left without seeing any fans afterwards, didn't thank them for their support or anything. Lets keep in mind, Switzerland is expensive, and the Portuguese aren't really known to be wealthy...

From there, it's just been going down.

^^i completely missed this whole Ronaldo/Portugal episode. the guy is an asshole. He refers to himself in the first person when talking about himself. i.e "When Cristiano makes mistake, people want to kill him". But what does he care what i think, he can write off his Ferrari and it doesnt matter to him.

Man City open talks with AC Milan for Kaka.

Dear God, I hope this does not happen...

Btw C.Ronaldo has been accused by Portguese fans that he only plays for himself and should not be the captain. Its pretty laughable hes a captain in the first place.

^^its must be an outrageous amount of money. i couldnt see him leaving Milan though. Stephen Ireland will probably be dropped now. He can come to Liverpool.

yea Sandeep, i meant to say that he was referring top himself in the third person in that sky interview, like Pele does.

Pele is a douche.

He was an awesome player who played for the New York Cosmos...

Where does he find the balls to say that he was greater than Maradona...

£91million. depends how much milan value him though. a player like him is invaluable - but will the cash in and maybe strengthen other areas?

if they had £91million to spend, they could buy like 5 world class players (maybe not in january, possible the summer) - and how many people would reject the chance to play for milan? not many.

i tell you what's ruining football. these foreigners investing in clubs and making it more about money. when they take over a club, they splash out money on new signings etc... increasing the financial gap between the wealthy clubs and the financially insecure. (rich get richer, poor get poorer).

price tags of players has gone up ridiculously as a result!

whatever happened to bringing a whole lot of talent from the youth systems and grassroots?

oh which reminds me, since i mention SSN in the other thread:

ronaldo reiterates his desire to stay at united, saying they have a bright future.

also, kaka was interviewed. (BIG SMILE ON HIS FACE) discussing a possible switch to man city. he says hes on same same wavelength as milan, he loves it there, hes happy there and loves playing for the club.

however, kaka did state that as long as the clubs objectives and his are the same he will stay there, but when that changes he may look to go elsewhere to fulfil his goals. - possibly man city or somewhere else, but you never know.

Milan have no need to sell Kaka. The need to strengthen their defense and overall squad and have more than enough money to do that. THey should not sell Kaka for any price.

This is a good point.

let's say the best player in the world plays for you. And since the second best is reasonably valued at 35 million, the best is valued at 45 million. Does it matter if someone comes along and offers you a 100 for him? It's almost impossible to get a better or just-as-good replacement, anyway. Whats there to gain from the extra cash, football-wise?

They could offer 7 billion in theory, Milan has little to gain by selling Kaka.

^^yea thats what i think as well. All AC Milan need to do is bring in some good defenders(please not Agger) and a few young players and they can get back on top and they have the money to do that already. There is no point in selling Kaka because it seriously depletes their team unless they can find a new talented youngster and hope he can reach Kaka's level. Obviously that will take a few years though.

my brother was telling me today that he thinks that Ronaldinho's arrival at AC Milan has upset things a bit for Kaka. They are great friends off the pitch but on the pitch Ronaldinho arrival has meant that Kaka has to do more defensive work and cant play with the same freedom like he used to. its a good point when you consider that Gattuso is out injured.

i wont like it one bit if Kaka leaves and joins City for that kind of money. its bad for the game imo.
