Mijatovic's Real Madrid are on the look to buy Danijel Pranjic from Heeraveen (Sp?) and Dario Srna from Shakhtar.

Would be nice to see some Croats at Real Madrid. Last one there was Davor Suker.

^^ They better give Veen a good deal of monehz :)

HOWEVER, even though im a Pranjic fan im not sure if hes actually good enough for real, but you never know. having a better team around you can also help a player.

My Twente won 2-0 from Heracles today. Late victory, hard fought, but deserved. PSV 1-0 down to NAC at HT, Veen 1-0 up to Roda at HT. Ajax - Groningen just kicked off.

Eredivisie Live is good stuff, lawl

And what about Hoffenheim, eh? They're so awesome. I'm gonna get a Hoffenheim jersey, lal.

That's my scare about Pranjic. Wouldn't want him to end up being a bench warmer... Anyways, we'll see what happens.

Hoffenheim ftw. Ibisevic another 2 goals. Unstoppable.

Congrats on the Twente win.

Watching Napoli / Juventus right now. Hamsik is a pleasure to watch. :thumb:

Yes, Marek Hamsik. I always had him in footy manager games. He's good. Doesn't Lavezzi also play at Napoli??

Heerenveen Roda 2-2
NAC PSV 2-1 (lal)
Ajax 1-0 vs Groningen.

^^Yea he does. Hamsik is a very good player. Napoli has some good players.

JUst watched Real Madrid v Atletico Madrid. Heartbreaking defeat for Atletico. Real Madrid scored a last minute penalty to win the game 2-1. Simao had equalized for Atletico with a fine free kick with about 3 minutes of normal time left. Then in the 5th of injury time Heitinga makes the most stupid tackle to bring down Drenthe. Higuain slotted home the penalty. Hietinga is a poor defender though. I have seen him alot for Holland and Atletico and he doesnt impress me. He played for PSV before moving to Spain didnt he?

He came from Ajax, man. Product of their youth.

You know what the funny thing is?
I completely agree with you. I rate Heitinga highly, however. Here comes the explanation train:

Usually he plays as a defender. He's alright. Does his job. HOWEVER, he's prone to very unsophisticated play. Giving things away at crucial moments.

Now, back when we were qualifying for EURO2k8, the Dutch side played against I-don't-know-who-anymore and out of necessity Heitinga was put as a DM playing just before the defensive line.

I tell you, best two matches I ever saw Heitinga play. And here's why. He's good defensively. He spots interception possibilities, his positional play is good, he's alert, he's good physically. Now that makes him technically a good defender, but since he's still prone to fucking stupid mistakes, he sometimes lays a player down that wasn't dangerous, or wanders completely out of position. Those errors are crucial and unforgiving as a defender.

As a defensive midfielder, however, it's not *that* bad since he's got more players surrounding him. And then also, Heitinga is, certainly for a defensive player, quite decent technically. He's got a good shot, can be quite dangerous in the opponent's box (with headers and scrappy play. Not flashy actions of course) a good pass and actually pretty good vision and game intelligence. But he can almost never use those attributes as a defender!

Sometimes he played on right back and you could see some of these qualities shining through, but as a central defender he's curtailed by his position. When playing in Ajax' first, he was always a centre back out of pure necessity. This may have caused people to view him as a pure centre back. I'm still waiting for a coach to realize Johhny's real potential, actually. I hope Atletico's staff can see his qualities in training and experiment with him. I don't know how they're staffed regarding defenders, so he may not even get a chance.

Either that, or I'm severely missing something.

Lavezzi just scored second goal beating Juve.
Juve does seem to struggle a bit. Napoli is a class squad, though. Hamsik and Lavezzi are really some great names in the making imo.

I had a friendly bet on Juve though, so I'm pissed they lost. In another way it's also somewhat painful to see the Old Lady straddle like this.

glad Napoli beat the cunts. Juve are a pack of wankers.

yea i wasnt sure if it was Ajax or PSV. I remember he was playing defensive midfielder. I dont rate the guy as a centre half though.

i just dont like them. i dont like Inter either. or Roma.

Sampdoria are my Italian team but i also like to see AC Milan, Lazio and Napoli do well, when they arent playing Sampdoria or challenging them obviously.

Barcelona beat Bilbao 1-0 today. Eto'os goal was good, he looked sharp although he did miss a sitter later on..

Pep's team every week is surprising, Messi/Puyol/Bojan/Hleb were all on the bench.

Yeah, Pep's pissing me off with his random choices..
Busquets for fuck's sake??

Touré has proven last season that he's an amazing, amazing player!
He was our third best player, and all of a sudden, because Pep gets a boner from one of his former players, Touré barely gets a chance..

If he moves to Juventus or Arsenal I'll go crazy!

Same with Sanchez.. Wtf? I don't mind youth team players making their debutes, but Bojan has barely played this season, and he's shown last season he plays well in all 3 of the front 3 positions, but still he didn't get a chance!

Busquets seems a good prospect though.

The Toure situation is weird, he was awesome last season and when Keita was bought I thought it was a really pointless signing although he is a good player. Yaya might go to Juventus.

Bojan needs to play more. Pep can't expect him to magically perform coming on as a subsitute.
