I wouldn't say its poor its not the best I know, Id say the attacking play in La Liga is great at times. Watching some of the play of the lesser teams in La Liga is awesome.

La Liga imo is the most entertaining league.

If anything comparing it to the EPL, imo.

Liga lesser teams > EPL Lesser teams.
Liga better teams < EPL Bigger teams.

^ Agreed.

There is more depth in La Liga. However the top 4 in England are probably the best in Europe. People confuse that though and label it the best league in the world just because of those 4 teams.

Agger doesnt play because Skrtel has been playing very well. I dont agree about Carragher though. I think he has been brilliant so far this season. They could play Carragher right back and put Agger in the centre. Arbeloa is weak imo. so are Dossena and Aurelio. He shouldnt have let Finnan go. Hyypia is also there of course. We have good options at centre half but not at full back. he needs to sign a good full back in January. We were linked with Bale a while back. He might be a good option because he is still very young.

Saw the second half of Valladolid v Valencia. finished 1-0 to Valencia. Manuel Fernandes was fantastic in midfield imo. good player.

Bayern off to a poor start again. Klinsi should obviously play Bommel on DM instead of DeMichelis. I talked about this with Seb today and we totally agreed. The Greek is a great fullback, a horrible DM. He said himself he didnt wanna play there. He said that under Hitzfeld already. Now Klinsi puts DeM. on DM and benches Bommel. Idiot.

So this is funny about football, right.

Twente beat Rennes in Europe last thursday.

Now Rennes whoops Lyon 3-0, a much stronger team on paper. And Twente loses 0-3 to a weaker team on paper.

Demichelis is an Argentinian international. Not sure if it was you were callling a Greek. He plays centre half for them i think. He was playing there against Paraguay anyway i think.

Haha, you're right he is Argentinian. I always thought he was Greek. Cos of the name perhaps.

Regardless, he really began to shine at Bayern on full and centre back. I watched quite a lot of Bundesliga the previous two years and you know Seb is a Bayern fan so I tend to trust his judgement when it comes to this.

Also I rate Bommel very highly of course.

^^As far a s i know he played Centre half when he was at Rive Plate as well. He was highly rated back then. Then Bayern bought and i was surprised to see him in midfield. Van Bommel is good but he seems like a bit of an asshole.

i read in this months 442 that the top teams in Holland and Belgium are in talks about forming a super league. its seems that this is a real possibility.

That sounds like the idea there was to make a Super-Balkan league, which would include all of the Ex-Yugoslavia countries once again.

Time to flip over cars and start another war via Ex-Yugo club football. :thumb:

On the Sneyder-Persie row, I dunno. It's kinda childish and it's a shame it reached the media. I hope these young talented men aren't developing huge ego's already.

Anyway, on the Belgian-Dutch league, I'm all for that. It'd mean increased publicity, increased revenue for the clubs, a definite increase in competition and level. I can see only benefits really. There's been talk of this idea for a while now. Also smaller clubs in Holland (and probably in Belgium as well) have been, at times, discussing the possibilities of merging as well. Like a possible FC Limburg (combining a number of clubs from the south, including Roda JC, Fortuna Sittard and MVV).

I hope the matter will be become more concrete in the future.

We'll call it "The Low League", after the Low Countries. Ha.

How many of you would be interested in a Belgian-Dutch league? Would you follow it? Do you follow anything on the Dutch and Belgian leagues already? How much added publicity and foreign interest do you think this will generate for football in Holland and Belgium?
