Bobby, Arsene Wenger and David Moyes both condemend the pitch also, not just Fergie :thumb: Read all points not just the Ferguson one.

Rooney is injured along with Carrick so they couldn't play, its funny when Wenger does it its labaled as "hes giving the youngsters a chance" But if Fergie does it, its condemend.

Tevez, Anderson, Vidic, Ferdinand, Park, Foster are all International players, Fabio over Evra is something most Man Utd fans wouldve chose due to Evra's loss of form, then you have Welbeck who has played EVERY FA Cup game this season, along with Gibson I think, hes scored a couple in the FA Cup so far. and Rafael is our best RB currently.

Then you have the man of the moment Macheda.

It was a weakened side but I have no problem with it, some of these players played in the Carling Cup final also.

^^you missed the point of my post.

i know players have to be rested and youngsters given a chance but can you see how much of a hypocrite he is being in relation to his comments about Rafa Benitez? If Ferguson hadnt made those comments i wouldnt be saying anything.

Your comments about the pitch was some of the point in your post, so I commented on that first...

I can see why it does look that way yes, but Man Utd have played a weakened side in every round apart from Derby away I think where C.Ronaldo/Rooney/Tevez all played, along with Welbeck and Gibson however. I don't think he was disrespecting Everton at all, he was saying that he rates David Moyes in the top 3 managers in England.

I agree with Bobby on this one. First Ferguson is being a nittypicker for Benitez' comment on Everton two years ago, then he subsequently underestimates Everton himself, plays a B-side and gets knocked the fuck out.

LMAO! Irony is a bitch, huh.

How does everyone feel about Celtic looking to squeeze into the English Premier? Apparently, if it's done, it won't be before the 2014/15 season.

Yeah, Rangers would join up also apparently. Like 2pax said, it would become a 2-tier system. People have had some mixed views on it. This is what one guy wrote on it.

Celtic will never get the chance to play in England because too many clubs who hide their shortcomings with television cash are scared. Can anyone honestly imagine the likes of Aston Villa, Everton or Spurs voting to reduce their chance of reaching the "Holy Grail" of Champions League football?

There was a chance the domination of the English top-four could have been broken this year. Manchester United, Chelsea and, especially, Arsenal have all underperformed in the league. For a long time, Martin O'Neill's Villa actually looked as though they could make it, that this was there year. The English media was full of claims O'Neill was the next God but, of course, it all went wrong.

As the old saying goes, form is temporary but class is permanent. The gap between the so-called "big four" in England and the rest is still huge and they look a class apart from anything else in the league even when not on form. It's so bad that if O'Neill manages to get Villa to finish fifth he may as well quit for he will have done all that he can do. For the non "big four" of England, fifth is indeed the new first!

The other hilarious thing (and laughing is the only way not to cry) is the number of fans in England who don't realise the threat Celtic would pose. They don't realise football exists outside of England. They don't realise Celtic have more supporters clubs than any other club in the world. They do not realise that with English television money in the bank, Celtic could go on to dominate.

No, the fans don't realise that - but those lot actually think the poncey, foreign-owned, happy clappy, £120,000-a-week game they watch is real football. The owners and those with any sort of knowledge about football do know it, though, and they are the ones making the decision. And it is a decision that will never go in Celtic's favour. The English club's are scared of the thought of us making the "big four" a 'big five' and making them look even smaller than already do.

Before English fans start ranting (and they probably will, I'm surrounded by them on a daily basis), consider this. A club with a 60,000-plus seater stadium, one of most supported clubs in world football, one of the few clubs with a global brand and a club with a name that still means something. All of the ingredients are already in the pot to make Celtic competitive anywhere in the world, be it England or the Champions League, and if a sprinkling of English television money is added, it could become a reality.
Also, Hizzle makes a good point, it's not like all the clubs in the English system are actually English. So, Sebastian's post is useless, just like Ballack. :p

Excuse my ignorance but i wasnt aware of the fact that non-english clubs are already playing in the english leagues.

So, i have to correct my statement and say: The fact of non-english teams playing in english leagues is stupid. - Didnt expect anything else from our fellow neighbours though.

Plus, Ballack will win the champions league this year. Mark my words.

That post in FlipMo's post is true.

The likes of Fulham, Everton, Wigan Athletic make 100.000.000GBP per year on TV rights.

Rangers and Celtic make 2.

with 98.000.000GBP per year more in their piggybank, they'd rule.

Yeah, Fabianski is the only reason Liverpool isn't in the lead.

Benayoun is by far the best player for Liverpool in the first half. You can do it you little Jew! :)
