Those PFA nominations are a complete and utter disgrace. No Xabi Alonso, No Carragher, No Frank Lampard, yet Man Utd get Ronaldo, VDS and Giggs nominated.

Then Rafael gets a nomination for the young player of the year even though he hardly plays but Insua who has been very impressive for Liverpool doesnt.

In the case of ROnaldo. He hasnt been that good this season except for flashes here and there

Giggs doesnt play every game. He has been good in some games.

VDS is in because he went a long time without conceding a goal but that was more down to the defense than him imo.

Xabi Alonso has been brilliant for Liverpool this season. so has Carragher.

Lampard has been Chelsea's best player by a mile.

Rafael has played more games in the League than Insua has...seriously fucking hell I would agree that not all the Man Utd players deserved a nomination, but most of it is due to the record they broke (Ferdinand/VDS especially) Giggs hasn't been that good, before the Chelsea game no-one wouldve mentioned him.

Also it's a wonder when the top league scorers are not mentioned like Anelka.

But Bobby that Rafael comment is bordering on insanity. Insua has played 10 games this season in all competitions thats still less than Rafael has played in the league alone. He was our 1st choice Right back for a good while before his injury.

Also VDS and Giggs should not have been nominated. I'd have had Hangerlaand from Fulham in there.

Few years ago I used to hate his guts, but overcoming my arrogance ive seen what a quality player and proper professional he is. He's been class this season aswell, probably overlooked due to Chelsea's stuttering inconsistency.
