Ajax was poor imo. Villa was decent, though. They have a good shot of going to the next round.

But alright, 3 more matches coming up.

Ashley Young is a very good player. If i had to pick a player on the Villa team for Liverpool to sign, id pick him over Barry. Can Young play on the right?

^^i said it but they did keep a clean sheet last weekend though. Villa could do well in the UEFA Cup i reckon.
yea, but i still dont think only 2 clean sheets in the premiership so far is good enough. (liverpool and portsmouth)

we've got wigan next with zaki in goalscoring form.

if villa want to actually challenge for 4th spot in the league and/or a good run in the uefa cup, then we need to seriously tighten at the back because attacking isn't a problem.

^^ Laursen is very good. i dont rate Shorey or Young though. Bouma is a loss.
i dont rate them that highly either, i think they are decent additions to the squad as we lacked numbers - so they have been more than useful because we needed more defensive options. especially with mellberg, cahill, ridgewell, hughes, all leaving, we lost some of our main starters in defence.

^^^ They're doing it for those reasons. They want to be kicked out of the competition. BBB said they'd mess up their chances as long as Mamic is their president, and Hrgovic (Ex-Hajduk top player, now traitor) is with them.

Also, BBB are known rightists. Wouldn't say fascists though, obviously from the few exceptions.

^^yea but there is no place for that in football. What kind of supporters want their team to be beat. Guys like that arent football fans just criminals who disguise themselves as ones.

You support Hajduk Split though dont you?

Yeah, they're a firm like any other in Croatia. BBB (Dinamo), Torcida (Hajduk), Armada (Rijeka). The thing is, BBB make up most of the fans that attend matches for Dinamo Zagreb. Croatian club match attendance is at an all time low at the moment.

Our major rivalry, Hajduk/Dinamo, which was played last month usually brings a full stadium in Zagreb (about 40 000 capacity). Do you know how many showed up? 6000 around. 3000 of those being Torcida and Hajduk Split supporters.

Obviously, it's gonna be different when the derby comes down to Split, and will probably max out because Hajduk Split is supported by all of Dalmatia generally.

So, weather or not they have a place in football, they're making themselves seen and will impose themselves. Either way, Mirko Hrgovic is a traitor and a rat bastard. Hizzle will agree with me for other reasons. lol

And yes... I support Hajduk Split. So, seeing them removed from the UEFA Cup brings quite the smile on my face. :)

Whats the deal with your Croatian fans being racist? Why do they chant racial slurs and as hizzle said why do they chant Hitler? Is it just fans in just football games or the society is like that?

Italians are understandable since they've been fascists before. But what gotten into hrvats.

Now that I think about it, I would say the most "rude" or hardcore fans are English first of course and then Poles. Poles are pretty bad too. But English aren't really racists are they?

Croatia has a history of Nazism. Croatia was a Nazi puppet state once upon a time in WW2, with Pavelic at the helm. He was an Ustasa, Croatian nazis. Jasenovac was like the Auschwitz of Croatia. It was an extermination camp for Jews, Homosexuals, Gypsies and mostly Serbs.

Eventually, Tito's Partizans (Communists) was also a regime in Croatia, who'd fight the Ustase. Then you had neutrals, who just wanted to stay alive, not align themselves and watch over their families.

I can give a long ass history lesson about it, but I'll spare you and just say, there are racist/extreme fans in every country, many even worse. The Poles are psychos lol.

I would say for a lot of times, we don't start it. For example, when we beat Italy in Livorno right after the World Cup. Their fans were waving the Yugoslav/Croatian communist flag. If you know any Croat, that's one of the biggest insults you can throw at him. So, Armada fans from Rijeka who were at the match decided to make a human swastika. lol. Just to remind Italians, they're a bunch of shits also.

We got fined 30 000 Euros, the Italians got jack shit.

So you have a lot of these occasions where its just a retort. Then again, it depends on what firms attend matches, and their alignment.

It's a shame though, cause most of our fans are not extreme like that. We will sing for 90 mins straight till our lungs bleed without anything remotely racist. Like they say, a few rotten apples can spoil a bunch.

Are you saying hrvats only becomes racists when opponents start shit, another words you only retaliate? Sorry, I don't believe that. I'm sure if you ask others, like Italians, they'll say same thing, 'we retaliate'. You just said it you had a history of racism.
