This year my ratings would look like:

10 for the Netherlands
8 for Croatia
7 for Portugal
6 for Germany

and I mean their game overall.

Austria would be 2 and Poland 1.5 (would be 0 if Boruc and Roger weren't there)

I wasn't watching other games much so I can't comment.

It was awful. Just awful. What the hell happened to Gomez and Klose?! It seems like they completely forgot how to play football. I looked like Gomez was literally crying when he was substituted. But they are not the only players who sucked. Except Lehmann, Mertesacker and Podolski they can all go home and cry like Gomez. Of course, great goal by Ballack, but seriously, he was awful the rest of the game.

Germany suck. But expect them to beat Portugal.
Good way to sum up my thoughts. You never disappoint me Thuggy.

I like your objectivity on this. :thumb:

But I didn't think Mertesacker was that good. Certainly not the worst, but not good tonight.

Would you agree that so far Lehmann has pretty much been your best player?

Mertesacker made one (big) mistake but besides this, he was as good as i expect our centre backs to be.

I dont know about Lehmann being our best player. See, even though we basically sucked in two games, we didnt really allow our opponents to take many shots on our goal. So Lehmann didnt have the chance to prove what hes still capable of. He had a few minor insecurities throughout the three games, plus the second goal for Croatia, well, it was definitely not his fault but he didnt look good doing what he did...

Podolski has probably been our best player so far. He was very active in the first half today.

Mind you Ballack was poor against Croatia as well.

I dunno, I have been saying that Germany would win this thing since just after the last World Cup, but i started to have doubts after i saw them play against Ireland in Dublin. It was a 0-0 draw and Germany were poor although the game had no relevance. Then i made the point that alot of their best players were off form leading up to the tournament although Podolski is playing well so far. Im gonna stick with them though. I think that they will beat Portugal. Protugal wont have the bottle when it comes down to it. The game will be won in midfield i reckon. I think Germany will bully them out of it.

Yeah, Poldi competes as well. He does much better than I expected there on the left side. Hell, he played from the left and did better and scored more than all the other German strikers, lol.

Frings and Ballack are from being as good as i expected them to be. Frings even more than Ballack. Its a shame to see them play these days when you know how many good games they had for Germany throughout the last months.

I like Frings. He's a skilled player with good mentality. He's a worker that brings something extra to the pitch. Has got a deadly long shot as well.

Thats true, usually. But this and the last game he hasnt done that. So many bad passes and his work in the defense wasnt the best either.

Yes, the 16 is the box, I know that. :) I meant the bulge on top of the box, how's that called?

Cooper, us non-Brits use meters. :)
Metres suck for football. All the distances are in yards :)

What do you call the 6 yard box? And how far does the wall have to be on a free kick?

The 'bulge' is called 'the d'

actually Spain hasn't impressed me at all. The 4-1 was down to Russia's poor defending and they barely scraped a win against Sweden.

I'm having a constant erection.

Football is great. The great football gives me mental erections and the hawt women give me physical ones.
