Yea, tha 3rd island is the worst waste of space in gta series. Some things about gta4 make it real cool, but then theres some things i just hate, like a lot of the characters, the radio stations and the 3rd island

I also hate the police chasing system - I can't do ANYTHING without getting chaced. In San Andreas I could kill people and in worst case I had 1 wanted level star which disappeared after a few seconds. Now I punch someone on the street and I have to run like an idiot out of that stupid chasing area.
Once I hid on the rooftop where I was unseen by police (having 1 star) and spent a few hours there and they were still chasing me while when I went out of that area for a few seconds I was "clean". It's stupid.

I miss punching and murdering people like in San Andreas without any cosequences :(

I quite like some radio stations but all previous gta games had better radios.

Wow I can't believe this forums are still full of live... I just wanted to say GTA IV is one of the greatest games ever made, specially the well written and executed storyline.

Yea, its definately well written. I don't think I would say that this game blows SA and VC out the water, but it is a well polished game. I'll play it for the years to come (unless another Vice City is remade next-gen style)

And yea, the police radius did actually get a little stupid after words. I wish I could do away with that. And I got the impression that you could climb on/up buildings like in Assassins Creed and i can barely do that. An even if I do, that one star radius will still be on me. How realistic is that? And does anybody know how to hang off helicopters?

I'm about two-thirds through the game and pretty bored to be honest, with Vice City and San Andreas I played relgiously until I completed them. It feels very repetative to me.

exactly. When I got bored with missions in San Andreas I could always hit the gym, I could do a drive by, I could swim and boast my health or stamina and it was dope.
Vice city had that special vibe to it, great music and it was fresh. In Gta4 I have barely anything to do with time when not on missions which actually got a bit boring. I can't get to most buildings like they advertised. I can visit a shopping center but all shops are actually closed and all look the same. There are only a few shops and only a few blocks where I can actually get in.

GTA4 is mostly about little, not important details that get you think it's amazing at the start.. I was really impressed with graphics and the way everything realistically acted but now I don't see any major, important new things except the internet and phone.

I'm on the same page as you masta247, although I don't think the internet was all that great. But like u said in SA and VC, there was something about those games that if you weren't on a mission, u actually could find other fun things to do. But with 4, it gets pretty boring. If i could trade in the graphics for some entertainment while not doing missions, I'd do it. All u can pretty much do is hang out with other friends but that got pretty repetitve. I remember not playing it for an entire week. I didn't have the desire to. The police arent even really that agressive, the system they use is just plain lame...oh well. The online is still cool.
