Villa need to tighten up at the back. we're fine when it comes to scoring goals, but we also let ourselves down when it comes to conceding. a good run of clean sheets would really boost our goal difference and most importantly our position in the league. that's if we can keep the scoring up.

Gabby with a hat-trick!!

I sympathise with Villa...but no, I don't care.

Useless French defender Mikael Silvestre has signed for Arsenal. He'll wear the number 18 shirt previously worn by useless French defender Gilles Grimandi and useless French defender Pascal Cygan.

He was. But hey, he had like one good season, maybe Left back wasn't for him, but he couldn't pass for shit.

Awful at times though, I was always nervous when he had the ball.
Well good luck at Arsenal. Strange transfer though.

i remember when he played for Inter Milan against Man Utd back in 99. He was outstanding. Thats what prompted Ferguson to sign him. as far as i can remember, i think he was playing left back that night. He wasnt first choice but Inter were missing loads of players for that game.

^^Chimbonda isnt bad going forward but a poor defender. he was very bad against Liverpool last week.

Diouf is ok but he wont score many goals.

Malbranque is a good player.

Sunderlands best players are Jones, Reid and Gordan and Malbranque imo. Bardsley looks a good prospect too. Andy Reid at his best is class.

Seriously, guys, Malbranque went to Sunderland? Dídn't he come from Spurs? That's quite the step down imo. Or two. Didn't Spurs want him anymore?

On a more generic note, there is no, nil, nada, NO way any other team will penetrate the top four this season. Hansen and Taylor agreed with me :). Not Spurs, not a Newcastle revival, most definitely not Aston Villa (pass the opium, Sandeep!).

Utd or Chelsea for league champions in England this year.
