Some shocks so far.

Peru beat Uruguay 3-0
Mexico beat Brazil 2-0

Chile beat Ecuador 3-2 which is a bit of a shock as well.
The other game played was Venezuela and Bolivia which finished 2-2.

Brazil might be in trouble now.

Mexico beating Brazil isn't a real shock. Brazil have only beaten them once in like 8 games. were terrible in the first half, came to life in the second are were unlucky not to score. Btw Castilo for Mexico was quality, but showed alot of inexperience.

Peru impressed me, along with Ecuador, but they ended up losing it. Suazo for Chile looks a decent player.

Mexico always seem to be able for Brazil.I saw Brazil in a few friendlies recently and they were crap.Argentina should win this tournament.Tevez will start on the bench for them i think.

Yeah Riquelme is back :D

Veron is in the team also, looks like it will be Messi and Crespo upfront.

And yeah Brazil lately are awful. I was at the Emirates when they played Portugal. Played off the park. C Ronaldo and Quaresma were destroying them.

Argentina beat USA 4-1.Crespo(2),Aimar,Tevez
Paraguay beat Colombia 5-0.Santa Cruz(3),Cabanas(2)

Mexico got two good goals against Brazil didn't they.I always thought Olympiakos's Nery Castillo was Uruguayan. He scored Mexico's first goal against Brazil.

Hehe, I read that US forces were calling on the people (with the terror alerts and all) to stay home and not come to the stadia to support their team. Another prime example of American out-of-touch-ness with the rest of the world. :) Telling people in South America they can not support their football team? Please. You have a better shot trying to teach crossbow hunting to a leopard.

Crespo broke Maradona's goal scoring record for Argentina. He has scored 35 goals for Argentina.Maradona had 34 but Batistuta holds the record with 56.Crespo is an excellent striker though.

Argentina and Colombia finished 4-2.Paraguay beat USA 3-1.

Venezuela have qualified for the knock out stages as winners of group A after their 0-0 draw with Uruguay.Thats a great result for them.

The other game finished Peru 2(Claudio Pizarro 2) Bolivia 2(Jaime Moreno, Jhasmani Campos.)

Peru also qualify and Uruguay may follow them as best 3rds place team.Bolivia are eliminated.

It's too bad it won't come on tv here. I'd love to see the matches proper, I'm a big fan of South American footy.
