I think the more attention fans and the media give to his decision, the bigger the reaction will be. Sounds like common sense but if people just stopped giving a fuck, ESPN will be the only one screaming their heads off about LBJ's fart-particles being found in trace amounts in Miami or SA or LA or something.
Want a reason not to care and why it won't matter? If LBJ goes West, he'll face GS during the regular season and then they'll be gatekeeping the path to the Finals again. This time within the conference. If LBJ couldn't beat GS with Love and Kyrie in years past, what's going to change now?
If he stays in the East, unless he plans on joining Toronto, Boston is probably going to be his biggest hurdle. Assuming BOS stays healthy with Kyrie and Hayward and others, what are his chances?
He's going to have to join/form a superteam to counter GS. And he forms his second superteam within a decade, he's going to get hated on again just like he did in Miami.
If he goes to LA, I give it 10 games before he slaps Lavar Ball on the court side for saying something dumb. I guess that's worth watching a few times.
I've been hearing some weak ass rumors about him coming to the Bulls somehow. Doubt it. I'd be glad to have him; I love LBJ. But the Bulls aren't a team that's ready to go from 0-100 in one season. I don't think any other team out there can win with LBJ next season, except GS. Maybe Houston and Boston, but you think LBJ is ready to see Kyrie again in the same locker room?
It's lose-lose except for the team that signs him and increases attendance and LBJ himself who is going to get paid. Players, fans, and the other 29 teams are just going to take Ls for what ever his decision is.
