It doesn't have to be on the beach. It can be outside a coffee shop on a bright sunny morning. The point still stands.
Where else could it be? I want to hear more about your activities. I am imaging music, and skating. Just like an old school tampax advert.

Rumour: Images surface of BBM for Android

By Ian Hardy on October 3, 2011 at 9:11am in Mobile News

Apple has iMessage, Samsung has ChatOn and there are a boatload of other 3rd party Instant Messaging apps out there, namely Kik, Whatsapp, Beluga, Beejive and Fuse. One of the more popular Instant Messaging services is RIM’s BlackBerry Messenger, which is used by over 55 million on a daily basis.
A few months ago a report in the Wall Street Journal noted that Google didn’t want to be the only without a native messaging app and was rumoured to be deep in development, “Google Inc., whose Android software is the most popular operating system on smartphones, has also recently worked on a messaging application, a person familiar with the matter said”. Since the report no other news has surfaced. However, Techradar has posted a few screenshots of what looks to be RIM’s BBM ported to an Android device. As you can see by the images there’s the famous BBM icon, the users display name, PIN, message and status. Apparently the images came from a RIM employee who says the BBM for Android app is currently in beta testing, estimated to be launching by 2012.
Techradar did state that “As far as the screengrabs go, there’s no real way for us to verify them until BBM for Android launches so it’s possible that someone is giving our leg a good yank – but with the app almost certainly in development, we’re cautiously optimistic about the whole thing being legit.”
What do you think? Real or Fake? Good move for RIM to have BBM on other platforms?

If its real, lulz @ RIM

One thing that is certain, is whoever owns that phone needs to invest in some screen protectors. Looks like that screens been raped with a machete.

I don't see the logic from RIM's perspective. There seems to be a lot of people for whom BBM is now the only reason they still have a BB and haven't made the switch to Android or iOS.

http://www.techradar.com/news/phone...s/samsung-releases-nexus-prime-teaser-1031760

Samsung has released a teaser trailer in advance of its big phone launch next week, showing off a curved handset that is likely the
Nexus Prime
.
The video, which focuses on things that "work better together", subtly bigs up Samsung's relationship with Google, which suggests to us that the coming handset will be the next flagship Android device.
It also emphasises that something big is coming, and we'd imagine so with rumoured specs of the Nexus Prime including a 4.6-inch screen.
Cheshire cat

The slim handset you can catch a glimpse of in the video is also mighty curvaceous and seems to taper at one end in a style that's weirdly reminiscent of some of those iPhone 5 rumours.
Not much else we can tell you from the video, aside from the fact that theNexus Prime launch is scheduled for 11 October, at which point we'll bring you all the official news as it happens.
Will it also mean the advent of Ice Cream Sandwich? We sure hope so. Meanwhile, check out the video for yourself below:

i just remembered that I can review my sim only contract with t-mobile this month. So i think i'll see what the deal with the Nexus Prime is and try to get a good deal on it. I swore I would keep my G2 for about 2 years, but I think I should sell it because support has pretty much ended on it, and i'm scared of the hinge mechanism breaking when other people use it.

i might wait a month or two to get a good deal on a cheaper deal (if t-mobile will have the phone for retail).

Samsung Galaxy Nexus specs revealed: LTE/HSPA, 4.65-inch curved display, 1.2GHz processor, 9mm thin

By Ian Hardy on October 6, 2011 at 9:53am in Mobile News

The Galaxy Nexus is apparently the go-to market name for the rumoured “Nexus Prime”, this is the “something BIG” that Samsung will be announcing on Tuesday. According to a report on BGR it’ll be another pure Google experience, exclusively available on Verizon in the United States. There’s no word on a Canadian, we know it’ll eventually be coming but don’t know when or with who. The following specs have been revealed: Android OS 4.0 “Ice Cream Sandwich”, 9mm thin (that’s crazy thin), a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD curved display (resolution of 1280 x 720), 1.2GHz TI OMAP 4460 dual-core Cortex A9 processor, 1GB of RAM, 5-megapixelcamera that can shoot 1080p HD videos, 1.3 front-facing camera, Wi-Fi, NFC and a 1750 mAh battery… plus it’s LTE/HSPA so it’ll be very interesting to see who launches it here in Canada.

Samsung uploaded a video a couple days ago that showed a glimpse of the curved device, which also gave insight into how thin it is too. More will be revealed on Tuesday…

what casey said - i was about to post the update.

looks like it will have a 4.65 inch screen though.

the phone looks very nice. I hope that we can re-arrange the order of the menu/navigation buttons on ICS. I'd swap the 'back' and 'menu' buttons around.
