I'm just saying, complaining about Flash because you can't watch YouPorn on an Apple device is not a legitimate reason. To me, anyway. Don't get me wrong, I do my fair share of porn watching. But I don't see a need to get a quick jerk in the car in the company parking lot. There's a time and place for these things.

And considering most use the iPad in public places, like on the train, airport, etc., porn is really irrelevant. Who jerks outside of the comfort of their home?

Did my post shout porn to you? I wrote other stuff... I guess you virgins have it on the mind...

My point is... I don't want to be told what I am allowed to install on MY device. So fuck apple. I like their products... But I don't like being restricted.

By the way.... Apple TV is poo.

I use many flash based site; Stickam, Grooveshark (like pandora), TVCatchup, on top of that I watch alot of streaming media, and not just porn. All of this is not possible on a device without flash.

what the fuck? has to be bullshit. There's a youtube app, you can view everything. Youtube doesn't require Flash.

who the fuck watches videos on Yahoo Sports?

.....
The youtube app only show youtube videos encoded as a quicktime video. As the iphone doesn't support flash. Thought we'd got to that point?

What does it matter what I choose to watch or whether you approve? I am giving you examples of where it lacks. Just because it doesn't bother you, or you don't use them, doesn't make it a good product.

If you like it buy it. But don't tell me I shouldn't dislike it because what I choose to look at isn't cool for you.

Do you like to argue? Are you actually retarded? Is it your twisted sense of humour? Or are you an apple fanboy?

Have you even owned an iphone?

As for porn. Whether it's sad... Whether you would.... Or not. The point is.... You can't!!!!

I'd sell it too if I were you. I don't see the point in tablets. Especially if it can't multi-task. Laptops and those mini note books I understand, but not these wannabe computers. I take the subway to go to work sometimes and often I see this lady reading her newspaper on it. Or my friend has it and she uses it to read books. I like to read the real paper thing. Call me old school but I like to turn pages, not slide pages on a piece of plastic.

Ps so did you sell it?

First of all, this whole argument started when you reiterated three times in one post that you don't like the iPhone/iPad because of Flash. So, the focus was on Flash. My argument was that you don't really need Flash and your argument for needing Flash was lacking so I kept arguing. Just look at Prize Gotti. His first example was Stickam. Do you know Stickam? It's 14 year old girls showing you their A cups. It's legalized child porn. I understand completely that you don't want a product that is closed off and restrictive. Fine. No problem with that. But lack of Flash is not THAT important. It's the principle that it doesn't have it that you find a problem with, I feel. And that's fine.

Anyway, I like to argue, I am not retarded, my sense of humor is twisted at times haha, and I am not an Apple fanboy but I do love using my Macbook and my iTouch. I have not owned an iPhone, no. But I'm pretty familiar as pretty much everyone around me has one.

Stickam is not something I need.

Yeah I'm in the process of selling it at the moment. Still playing with it though. I'll have to pack it tomorrow and send it.

My final feelings are that it's a toy that is way too expensive for what it offers. And it really is like a huge Iphone with a big screen.

Yeah to me also tablets are rather pointless. Netbooks and ultraportable laptops are way more comfortable and you can get a decent one, offering way bigger functionality for the same price.

@Sofi - Flash is not important to you but it is to many people. My phone didn't have flash support and it did piss the hell out of me almost whenever I entered the net. I also like flash games when I'm bored. You could say that there are games on the market and you can play games there too but it's not the point. It's about games that are in flash that are not on the market, same with websites - no flash means lacking an option that is more or less important and how important it is - well, it's pretty individual to everyone. You can say "who needs that" to almost any function in a mobile phone except of calling. The point is to deliver as many of them as possible because someone might want them.
And in my opinion Flash is important in a mobile device (or at least an option to run flash for selected flash applets).

I for one thought that Ipads are very limited functionality-wise. It's like they are made just to do a few things and you can't do anything else with them. Maybe lack of other options doesn't bother you because you don't need them, maybe it would be good for someone who buys it for a specific purpose and doesn't need anything else. Personally I got bored with it very fast and limitations are frustrating.
Despite the fact that tablets aren't too useful in the first place.

The mere success of the iPhone and the iPad renders that statement untrue. Let me rephrase. It is important, but not the deciding factor, obviously. If it were, there wouldn't be so many iPhones and iPads in the hands of the consumers. So, I don't know about that "most people" comment. I'm not buying it.

Avoiding Flash was a strategic decision. I bet people used to complain when they stopped putting floppy drives in the Macs, too.

Avoiding flash was an anti-competition measure. iOS is gaining a significant amount of revenue from games. Many of the games they sell are available as free flash versions online. And better games, too.

Well, you can multitask now on iOS devices.

But yeah, I prefer a physical book. Telling that to e-book readers really gets them riled up though. They think having 100 books in your pocket is the best thing ever, when really, you just put one in your backpack and you're set to go. I don't know too many people that read five books concurrently.

I didn't say "most", I said many :p
It would be a deciding factor to me - since there are phones that support Flash I would pick one that does, especially since competition on the market is getting bigger and bigger and limiting your device would be a terrible thing since there's a choice of a bunch of other devices that aren't limited that way.
That's all I'm saying.

And the success of Iphones and Ipads proves that people will buy a device not needing even half of its features so really some limits like Flash player wouldn't really bother them. Yeah, I think that most Iphone users don't even need a smartphone at all in the first place.
Then people who want a smartphone actually want to get as much of it as it's capable of, not as much as it allows them to do.

Correct me if I'm wrong... But... It doesn't really mult-task does it? It pauses one app while you are using the other app, and you can swap between the paused and active app and it will switch. You can't run an app in the background and wait for it to load while doing something else. Which to me, is the whole point of multi-tasking.

Again... I'm not an Apple hater. I had the phone and liked it. But without jailbreaking it, it would have been shit. The jailbreak gives you the functionality needed.

Also - Ebook readers would come in handy for when you go on holiday.

Most people who buy iphones do so, as it is a fashion accessory to them. Not because they use all the functions. Most people I know who have iphones are far from technically savvy.
