Okay, I know nothing about American sports, who outside of your continent does?

But... I have been doing an NFL fantasy team this year, and I am learning. Now I have entered an NBA Fantasy.

So... I need your help. Explain Basketball ( I know a little as I had a hoop as a kid), and especially the NBA and it's stars...

I need your help to rule the leagues.

sleeper picks would probably be anthony randolph, raymon felton, linas kleiza.

What the fuck? You're going to be learning about basketball and the NBA through the NBA Fantasy league?

FUCK THE WORLD. We're all going to hell.

Why the fuck else would I?

No-one outside of the states really follows your sports. There is a reason for that. Our sports are popular in virtually every other country. Conceited much?

Anyway....

I want to win. To win you need knowledge. So give me some.

Pittsey, ask some specific questions. I'm big on hoops.

I can't, man. I don't know shit, so can't be specific. Maybe after the draft I'll have better questions. So I'll be back.

Hahaha. This actually made me laugh out loud.

You should seriously consider starting a SOFI fan club.

That is so not true. Again.

Are you contributing to this thread, or just being a prick. Again.

While I know it's not strictly true. You are being picky. In the case of numbers. Very few people follow Northern American sports outside of Northern America. Compared to those that play Cricket, Rugby or Football.

My opinion of you gets narrower with every post. I am thinking you rarely leave Germany, and probably have been on a plane less than a handful of times. Am I right? or am I wrong. Again.

^^ See what I did there?

Im being a prick. You should like it, you are one yourself. Thats what you said, right?!!

But hey Bruno, i have no idea where your idea of me rarely leaving germany comes from. Surely not from this thread because there is no connection between my posts and this idea.

Dont tell me youve never heard of Kobe Bryant before?!

I actually can't be bothered to argue about it. It's a fact.

Yes, I've heard of Kobe Bryant. But not because of Basketball. Because of the fact he is topical in American Music and in American film, where he is often referenced. These are 2 imports American does well, not sport.

Yes. I am a prick. I freely admit it.

Am I right that you never leave Germany? If you want me to tell you what I learnt from your posts in this thread - Here we go - You have a superiority complex, but I really don't know why. You're not jokerman, and you don't contribute knowledge. You just mock others. I also think you want to suck off SOFI.

Edit - See told you I wasn't gonna argue... :)

Also.... This thread isn't helping me. 2 good posts. And then the 2 streethop drama queens come in and shout look at me!.

Edit - and i meant Sofi and Sebastian. Not me and Sebastian. Sorry. Sebastian and I. As I don't want Sebastian to mock me. Again.

No, you are wrong. Now you have to alter your picture about me.

I just cant help it. I like to argue. So whenever someone writes some stupid shit i have to rub it into the persons face.

I'm not conceited but I do have pride since I consider basketball to be the best sport in the world for me personally. I can't particularly articulate an argument why there's something wrong with this thread, but I do feel there is. You're doing it the opposite. First you become a fan of playing the game. Then, you become a fan of watching the game. Then, you become a fan of finding other ways to interact with the game (ie. NBA Fantasy League). You're doing it the opposite. I don't know why, but it irks me. You're not paying respect to the sport, you're seeing it as another one of your multiple hobbies. But not even that, it's still not a hobby because the hobby is the fantasy league, not the sport per se. Anyway, my post was meant to be exaggerated because that's how I like to convey my points at times and I feel that it adds some humor for the outsiders (ie Sebastian).

Also, basketball is the most popular sport in quite a few European countries. Usually, it's because they're good at it. Basketball isn't popular in your country because it sucks, it's not popular because you English can't play basketball.

Cricket is popular in the UK and mostly in the Indian subcontinent, and because those people multiply like flies, you have an argument that it's popular. But cricket is such a foreign thing to me and everyone I know that it's not even funny. Still, I know, the world doesn't revolve around me and neither does around you, but if I wanted a hobby, I'd pick up playing cricket and then get interested in the best leagues and down the road, join a fantasy league...because that's how it's fucking done.

I agree. I also played basketball as a kid. But it's not a popular sport here. And not because "we suck at it". It's the other way around. We have no interest.

Cricket is popular in Australia and New Zealand too. But I have no interest in cricket either. It's boring.

Can people not be armchair fans, and watch the games but not play?

Also... Stop being such a whiny little bitch. Thanks.

But you don't argue. You never have a counter point. And you don't contribute anything to this board. All your posts are one liners and condescending. What was your point here apart from cheerleading for SOFI. What was your counter point to anything I said. All you say is that is dumb, this is stupid.

You seem like an arrogant little girl. And I used to think you were one of the best guys on here.

Anyway......

To sum up.

Lighten up SOFI. Basketball doesn't need you to defend it, or to say how it SHOULD be done. I can quite happily get enjoyment from the sports on the PS3 or whatever... Get over it.

Seb - I have never seen a well thought out and intelligent post from you. If you believe you have, please point me to it. If you can't. Maybe you should stop calling out other people and lighten up a little.

Armchairs fans, absolutely. I enjoy watching hockey games without ever having participated in ice hockey. BUT you don't even watch basketball. You went from not watching the NBA to joining an NBA Fantasy League lawl. You see my problem here? It's kinda stupid haha. What's the point? It's not fun if you don't follow the sport.

I do agree that I need to lighten up. It's really not a big deal what you're doing and to outsiders I seem foolish, of course. I can't help it, though. pet peeve of mine, you could say.
