I think the Italian league will be very interesting this season. Inter is on the defensive with their title holding, AC's younger talents seem to be coming through, Juve looks properly recovered from their relegation drama. Could be a coin toss.
Anyway, Germany was interesting today. Bayern losing where they should've won. Leverkusen going big. I don't rule out the possibility of Bayern suddenly playing omgwtf-like once Louis has them going. Right now the results are going against them, but they faced two tough opponents and had one fuck-up in which they were still clearly the better side. I think Bayern will recover and make a strong push for the title. I think Wolfsburg can contend as well, with their magical triangle still intact. I know everyone's whining about the magical triangle and I don't wanna jump on the bandwagon, but the value of keeping your brilliant offense together can't be underestimated.
Leverkusen is doing well so far, maybe they can make a little jump in the rankings this year. Schalke, i'll give them some time for Qualix to work his magic. Stuttgart, i have no opinion on them yet. Werder, ditto. HSV has bought really well imo with Elia and Berg. Of course you can think I'm biased cos these lads come from the Eredivisie and while thats partially true, especially with Elia of course (Twente!!!) the neutral spectator in me still says "class players". HSV could do very well with these two boys upfront.
In Dutchland, nothing much is happening. Just getting to our fourth round, 4 sides with 7 pts, few with 6, few with 5, all big sides represented in the upper echelon. Not many real false starts.
VVV could be the revelation of the season. Especially Keisuke Honda. He's wtf-pwn good, even though he plays in a Dutch relegation side, lol. The pricetag is currently 10 million. Yeah you read that right. You think overhyped? Well, VVV played 4 matches, including PSV, drew all four. 9 goals gainst, 9 goals for. Guess how many goals Honda scored. Yeah, five. Two assists. As a attacking midfielder. Say hi to Japans talent.
Honda won't leave for a foreign club (yet), he likes the Netherlands lol, his only options are Ajax and PSV if they're concrete. Now neither clubs really has the practical funds to buy him at this point, especially considering both clubs have a important player on his specific position already (Aissati and Afellay). BUT, should Afellay be sold before the window closes, it's a 85% bet PSV will get Honda.
Future gem, mark my words. Keisuke Honda.
