If it went to penalties, it would have finished by a German win. I only went out late tonight, so most of the ginos weren't downtown, but I got to see an Italian/French feud, was quite entertaining.

If the finals ends up being Italy - Portugal, I refuse to watch it. I don't support anyone now, maybe France cause I wish Zidane the best.

I went out today after the game in this neighborhood where a lot of Italians live.Mannnn this was something.Streets closed off,full of people in cars with their Italian flags out,people out from windows chanting ITALY BRAVO!!Italian music all loud bumping in cars,pumping horns from right to left like it was a wedding party. Beautiful people man im telling you Italians are.Men,women,they were all showing love to each other,Italian or non-Italian as long as you showing them love they were celebrating along with you.I went and bought me Italy blue shirt,i couldn't find me a flag, so im waving this blue shirt and clapping and chanting ITALY BRAVO ITALY BRAVO to these beautiful people.Oh man this is what its all about.The greatest sport.This is what we live for.Italians are great fans man.

Maybe not on this board, but generally, Italy is one of the most favored teams in the world, with Brazil and Argentina. That's a fact.

I, have just never really liked the Italian style and past excuses they've given and dirty playing has just tainted them for me, I'm a great fan of past players such as Maldini who was a classy player and a gentleman, and also a fan of Roberto Baggio who was one of the greats of the time.

As for Portugal, I just don't like the way they've been playing and I have a certain hellfire hate for C. Ronaldo. He's wasted talent imo.

In the end, I'd just like to see Zizou head into retirement with one last cup, which I believe he deserves, the way he's been playing is just magical, I didn't expect him to have as much juice anymore, but he does. Also the fact his last season at Real Madrid has been a great one due to locker room divisions and criticism on the team that he's been taking care of, and the final match against Sevilla was just embaressing for RM. You know, I'm just wishing the best for him.

Italy - France would be a much more interesting match up than Italy - Portugal, you've got to agree with me on that one.

Italy wasn't really a favor with all the problems they have in Italy,plus after the first match against USA,they were almost not going to make out of group.

Like i said before,i'd like to see France go against them in finals.But i'm afraid Purtugal might beat France.I can accept France beating Italy in finals just for the sake of Zizu.But, i wouldn't want to see Portugal in finals.

Italy deserved this win.They played great the whole game.Yes.

When the match ended yestarday the punk on t.v was saying shit like "This is the birth of a new world class defender" he was talking about Canavaro. Malaysia is a reason that i stayed away from football from a long time but am back since the last 2 years and am back forever. Man Canavaro been great since he was with Parma and that was a long time ago like 97 if am not mistaking. Ppl prefer Nesta over Canavaro and even though am a Milan fan but i've been always prefering Canavaro over Nesta.

Am supporting France today and in the final because of Zidan ofcourse but i dont mind to see Italy kicking the French ass.

Germany improved alot Klinsman did a great job with them and i never expected that he can build a strong team this fast even though he will need to work more. Couldn't have said it better. I have major respect for Italian football and the way the Italian team usually plays, but it sure as hell isn't creative, sparkly football.

Last night being somewhat of an exception, they dared, took risks and took a deserved win. Let's hope they do the same in the finals. Allez les Bleus, though. Putting my faith in the Man Zidane.

He's an awesome talent and IMO will go on to be one of the greats once he learns when and how to deliver that final ball. The only thing which is gonna stop him is all this diving shit he does. Fact is he goes down much too easily. If he can stay at Utd and Fergie can get this out of him he will be one of the greats.

I don't see how people can be bashing Portugal like this.

They went through the qualifications with superb wins and were one of the early qualifirers for the cup. That, with the fact that between Euro04 to now, besides the Greek horror of 2 defeats at the hands of them. We've played solid enough and consistant enough to be here and in the final.

Where Italy and France have looked shaky for long periods in some games, when Portugal does look wobbly, they gather themselves quickly and regain momentum and hold their defence.

Whoever makes the final and wins the cup eventually is already sealed in fate. I understand that. Just don't count out Portugal or come at them with critism like some people here have. They deserve this as much as France and/or Italy.
