Aussies played great.They were way better then Italy and deserved a win.But Italy got lucky as you can see and aint nothing you can do about it.There has been bullshit calls and messed up games all tournament so its nothing new.

nah i am too celebrating. was celebrating in lil italy down here waving my flag and my jersey on. and its true its not only this game but all games that had bullshit refs and bullshit calls. but thats life.

How is that not a penalty? He took him out, even if there was some assistance by the man falling what the hell is he doin sliding right there. That was stupid move on the defenders part so blame him not the ref, why put yourself in the position to get a penalty called on you especially that late in the game when all you had to do was stand up and defend, and trust your goalie. Seriosuly watch it, he jumped down for no reason, he just had to play the angle right there, that is the Aussies fault not the refs.

the aussies fucked up. that was the worst thing to do to slide in front of grosso. grosso was already runnig when the guy slided in front of him. now you telling me that he was already there and that grosso decided to dive? stupid.

the aussies played a good game, dominated in 2nd half. 1st half i believe it was an italian win, but the 2nd half made me doubt it. the aussies were good. but italians won it and you know what? i liiiiiike it!

it was definitely not a penalty, though. The Italians shouldn't have been so lazy and just scored in the 90 mins. The Aussies didn't really play well. They pressed a lot, yes, but that doesn't mean good football. Lot of unnecessary ball loss, poor positioning and not finishing chances. I've seen more good Italian combinations than Australian, and the Azurri have been defending for half the match.

0-0 and an Italian win in overtime and I'd be pleased. But not like this. Review the images, if that was a penalty we may as well skip the 90 minutes of play and decide every match on penals immediately.

Carmi, I know you love Italy to death, but it wasn't a penalty, it was far from it, yes Neil was an idiot to tackle, but Grosso did have time to jump over, even if he didn't it woudn't have been a penalty call because at the time when Neil slid, there was no danger for Grosso and it would be more apperrent that it was for the ball. Grosso was awarded the penalty shot due to the way he fell, I couldn't help but laugh at the way he was smiling while his face was down. Biggest grin ever. lol.

So it was generally a bad call. Italy would have won in extra time though, but still, it's not the most honorable to win a football match, but I didn't care for either team too much.

Looks like it's penalty shots between Ukraine and Swiss
