Brazilians disappointed. Way too little pace in the first half., didn't try to outplay the Aussies. Second half was better. Brazil pressed a bit more, Aussies came forward as well (brave). Adriano scored a good first, Aussies missed 2 gargantuan chances. The Kewell one was "phunni" and Viduka's clipped header was ridiculously poor. Ball fell right on his head, but he didn't get any air and timed very bad.

Brazilians showed how it's supposed to be done at times in the second half, but still far from convincing. Adriano didn't play great, despite his goal. Ronaldhino was decentish, Ronaldo was invisible. Only good 'Zilians on the pitch were the defenders. Carlos was his usual Energizer bunny self, Juan and Lucio played solid.

Props to Aussies for fighting spirit, but they're just lacking.

Again, if anything, an average performance by Brazil. Im disappointed.
Second round I expect great things. It seemed to me that they knew they were going to advance no matter what.

Really, did anyone in that group have a chance to overtake them? No.

The game was kinda boring. I dont understand why do they start with Ronaldo? the guy is not even fit. In the 2nd half when they changed him with Robinho the excitment started. The midfielders didnt do there job. For the Aussies i believe that they were under pressure because they are playing with (Brazil) and i think that teams need to forget about this and just try there best against any team.

Good now that Australia has lost. If we beat them next week, we're in and they're out. :thumb:

Brazil is dissapointing to watch, but I'm not surprized Adriano scored. His girlfriend gave birth to a his kid on friday, hence the rocking of the baby dance by Brazil.

Adriano - despite his goal
Ronaldo - despite his assist
Ronaldinho
- all dissapointed.

Kaka seems to be the only player in form.
You thought Kaka played well today? He was average at best. Missed a huge chance last minute. Too many wrong passes and ball loss. Good header tho.

I've been laughing at Ronaldinho's performance this World Cup. For months I had to endure the 'Oh Ronaldinho is gonna win the golden boot, and gonna destroy everything in his path' comments.

The only thing that's destroyed are his 2 front horse teeth.

Kaka, he's been more interesting to watch though.

i didn't like this match, brazil didn't deserve 2-0, it'd have been 1-1 if Australia hadn't missed so many goals

anyways, props to the Aussies, they were ok, although it seemed they were nervous when it was their time to attack

Sure, Prso is great,lol....hes average. Blinded by your national pride :)
Wouldn't say I'm blinded, cause we did not play well. Defensively speaking, we've been doing good. Conceided 1 goal in 2 games. We do create chances, but it's the finishing on it that has to change. Prso is a great player, and what makes him great is his fighting spirit till the end, his seasons with As Monaco and Rangers proved this and his Scottish fans know it also. I found it sad that Prso had to take care of everything when it was Krancjar's job to supply him the ball. Krancjar is not ready for the World Cup, I don't care if he has ties with Lyon and Barcelona.

How hizzle said it best, Klasnic is not given the chance as much as he should. He's a great striker with Werder Bremen, there's a reason why him and Klose are called the Deadlyduo.

So I'm looking foward to the Australia - Croatia match up.

I bet you look forward to that match, if Australia should win you'll get fucked ..... or was it the other way around? :D

Brazil was disappointing, no doubt.

I meant out of the 2 games, but i mentioned this to a couple of friends before the tournament, Ronaldo hasn't played since April, Adriano has scored only 2 goals in 4 months and Ronaldinho finished the season poorly.

But Kaka has been the best player so far out of the quartet.

True, from what I've seen this WC and practice matches Kaka was the best player in Brazil's offense. Had a good season too.
