This proclamation is the big injustice. Podolski wasn't near Christiano Ronaldo level. Klose gave him opportunity to shine. We shouldn't neglect that when fans voted on the internet Podolski ended 4th after Luis Valencia, Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. (I'll add Ribbery to this group.) But, the head of commission which gave him this award is Lothar Matthaus. Conicidence? Matthaus said that they took the award from Ronaldo because of lack of the fair play. If we looked things on this way Maradona wouldn't be what he is now - true icon. Btw, Matthaus always disliked Maradona but I respect what 'Great Lothar' did for my favourite club as a coach.
