My parents came from a war torn country (vietnam), only had grade 8 education. Its very hard to learn when your school and community is being bombed daily. They came to the country not speaking a word of english and had to learn it in their late 20s. Now my dad makes 24 bucks an hour as a welder. You don't need an education to succeed, it helps, but isn't required to make it.
i hear that, my dads hometown was poorer than any ghetto around here, no running water, no electricity in the town, no roads, classrooms had about a book if they were lucky, and he did it anyway. education does help like he said, but it isnt required.
on the remark about inner city schools, thats where we agree. i feel this country always says EDUCATION AND PUT MORE MONEY IN, to me, its not the amount this country devotes to education, its WHERE the money is going. your telling me we can pay athletes 300 million dollars but cant get a school 100 text books, come on now, thats wrong.
but still, if u want it go get it, dont blame whites, or blacks, or neone else for that matter. play your hand the best you can, thats all you can ask of yourself.
