Messi may not get as much play time as Eto'o or any other player on the Barca team, but when he does... oh man, does he perform. I even believe Messi is slightly above Ronaldinho. Give it 1 or 2 more World Cups, I expect Messi to bring Agentina to a final.

Oh and Bach, the match wasn't all that, Barca is just too strong on the filed for Sofia. I'm excited to see them face on Barca, that's for sure.
I saw Ronaldinho goal though and it was a beauty.

Based on recent form.
But yea Messi is really great. But i don't know if i'd put him before Ronaldinho right now.Maybe in couple of years yes but i don't think hes better right now.

Of course, I think Ronaldinho is a better player, but going by his lack of form and the fact Messi has started the season in top gear, Messi is better formwise.

No surprised really. Celtic deserved more. BS penalty :)

lawl-o-academy @ Real. Just goes to show, money doesn't buy a team.

United deserved to score more, though. Goalkeepers always seem to play better against us, it's a conspiracy.
Man Utd attacked very well at times, keeping the tempo high. Celtic defenders struggled with that. Saha was definitely the best for Man. Rooney was absent for too much of the match.

That Japanese guy for Celtic was their best man. Very calm at the ball, good controller.

Nakamura^. Lol @ Real, didn't get to watch the Man U game was fecking working late and there's no highlights on ANY tv channel. How did we play? I heard Rio and Rooney had terrible games?

Man played well on midfield and offense. Defense wasn't as bright. Finishing was poor-ish. Rooney, despite one or two semi-dangerous actions, was invisible, both on and off the ball. Rio, well he wasnt in best form tonight but Long John McHesselink was being a handful of trouble to Manchester defenders.

You guys got an undeserved penalty for the equalizer :) (nerf). Draw would've been best result I think, but it could've gone either way as well.

Thanks for the summary, yea I seen the penalty on the news. Wasn't a penalty to be honest but I can see why the ref gave it, it looked convincing from his angle.

Rio was at fault for the first goal, and both he and Brown were a bit slack at the back. Vidic was on the bench though, so hopefully he can come back in and add a bit of stability to the side over the next few games.

Carrick was good, Scholes was very good, Saha was fantastic. Very happy to see him back on the scoresheet after a bad game against Spurs. Fletcher also had another pretty good game, putting in some tackles and harassing the Celtic players. Played some good passes and took on some players too.

Rooney lacked sharpness. There were moments of brilliance, but his finishing was off.

^Yea's he been pretty solid in the games he has played. The challenge which Vidic makes in this video clip was one of the best I seen last season in the EPL:

He's been very solid, and he's no-nonsense. He doesn't try and play around with the ball - although his passing is actually very good too. He's hit some nice long-range passes that have led to goals.

I disagree with a draw would be a fair result, Man Utd only scored 3 because Boruc made about 4-5 top class saves.
