David Ortiz has more runs, more homers, more RBI, more walks, and a higher OPS.

He's also the AL leader in HR's and RBI's.

Sure, he doesn't play defense, but his contributions to the team, especially late in the game, are priceless.

He had another game winning hit today.



And I think Big Papi would be a little more ripped if he was on something.

ortiz is on pace for the same amount of RBI and HR as last year but his batting average and OBP are down considerebly (.300 to .285)


and I don't think Ortiz has been any more valuable than Thome has been to the Chisox, both have had their fair share of huge hits

No Ortiz is on pace having better numbers this year than last.AVG and OBP is not that far down from last year.Still comes through in clutch.

Unfortunetly Ortiz is going to win the MVP.It would be a shock if he doesn't win.Last year he had competetion with A-Rod and still came close.This year he has no competetion plus he can use last years performance to his advantage.Thome is nowhere close to Ortiz as being clutch player.Today they showed the stats where Ortiz leads in MLB.Game winning RBI,go ahead RBI,walk off HR's,and some others.

and papi is still on pace for 50-150, no different than last years 47-148

and he still doesn't do shit in the field

Thome doesn't stand a chance, especially not when you put his numbers against Ortiz's.

It'll come down to Ortiz and Jeter, and IMO, if Jeter wins it, it will be because of the DH bias.

Unless he helps the Yankees win the division. If that happens, I will have no room to argue.

50+ HR 150+ RBI is a sure thing and yes,it would be different then last years.

The only category A-Rod leads the league in and is safe to win that category is go ahead/game decisioning or ending defensive errors.

Ortiz is so gonna hit over 50 HR.He could even reach to 60.
