The Big Summer Transfer Thread

Newcastle are on the verge of signing Damien Duff, from under the noses of Tottenham. Good signing for the club, if it goes through, but they should be buying strikers not wingers.

Valencia have agreed on a deal for Chelsea' Asier Del Horno and Patrick Vieira looks set to move to Inter,

Where's the loyalty man? You should still be supporting Juve no matter what situation they are in. You can't or shouldn't be jumping ship every year, just because one team looks good over another team. It's not loyal and it takes the fun out of the game for the season.

Are you going to support for Chelsea, Real Madrid and Bayern Munchen too?

Peace~
What i meant to say was that since Juve is going to be playing seria C or D.They won't make to Champions League i would think yes?So technically i wont even be able to see their matches unless i'd live in Italy. So i meant to say i would look next team that i like the most and root for them.I always like Barca so i want to support them.

Those three teams you mentioned are the ones i dislike the most in order.Chelsea,Real and Bayern.

Juve will be playing B. And they're ruled out of Euro football , plus they'd never be able to get to Euro football from B anyway.

Are they gonna be held in seria B for more then a year?
Well they are penalised by a further 30 points deficit to start their season in Serie B. That is why some football gurus says they will stay at Serie B for at least 2 years. Virtually impossible to climb to Serie A on their first season in Serie B.

For example, take 30 points less of Chelsea's total points last year and they wouldn't be first on the table.

Just wondering, do you read websites for football news?

Peace~

there is more than 40 games in the serie b. if juventus can pull off ten wins early in the season (they had a spectacular start last season) they will be on 0, and if they play decent football for the rest of the season, they might go up to A. it would be a miracle though.
i hope they never make it to serie A again. :horny:
fucking greasy cheating italians

Damn,i thought they were penalized for like a year or something and then they would be back on serie A.But they do need their star players really who were playing before to win games and come back on serie A again.I didn't think it was this serious.

What other Italian players have left Juve besides Zambrotta?

Pure Italian players? Cannavaro have left to Real Madrid with Emerson. Thuram and Zambrotta to Barcelona.

Buffon, Nedved & Del Piero seems to be staying in the team, which is always good to see that loyalty is still there. Trezeguet will decide when he gets back from his holiday.

Others, I'm not too sure...

Peace~

Pure?Come again?

Only Italian players. The rest i can care less. The reason why i asked is because if they leave now and then they think they could come back to Juve after Juve moves up to serie A,they are mistaking and being disloyal. At least Del Piero is a true loyal gentlmen.

Pure as in true blooded, Italian nationality. Not International players.

It was a suprise that Canavarro jumped to another team rather than helping Juve towards a brighter future. But he was heavily tipped to move though.

the players leaving will probably not be accepted back into the club, but you have to see it from their point of view. they need UCL exposure and top quality football constantly. and, Juventus are not guaranteed to get into Serie A after one season of serie B, a scenario which might finish these players' careers.
Buffon is supposedly staying which is a good thing for Juve, but Del Piero being 'loyal'? he has no prospect of being signed by any top club. he might as well stay at Juve and leave his legacy...

thats my view

Spanish Starlet, Fernando Torres have ruled out any future moves this year, as he is committed to Atletico Madrid and he is quite excited of all the new players that has arrived at Atletico.

You better looks elsewhere Man Utd fans. ;)

Peace~

I know it has no place here, but Slaven Bilic has been named Croatia's new head-coach. The perfect choice :) and the some of the staff to pitch in are Asanovic, Mrmic and Prosinecki. It's the Golden 98' generation. :D

Loew is new German coach for some time now. Benhakker is the new coach of Poland too. Recently, Dunga became Brazilian coach. Last week Javier Clemente was appointed as the first Serbian coach in the history...

While we're on the topic, what's up with Montenegro? Are they going to be organised in time for Euro 2008? I read that they might be allowed in, if they had their national football association and team in order by then.

UEFA, Serbia and Montenegro agreed that in qualifications for Euro 2008 will play only Serbia as the successor of the former country. In Montenegro they are waiting for internation acceptance and affiliation with the U.N. Because of delays, they didn't appointed coach and still not 'started from scratch'. It will be hard for them since they are newcomers and without coefficient although they always had talented players down there...
