"Hank Aaron doesnt recieve hate now. As I said, stop living in the past, this isnt the 70s"
Like i said time and time before racism still exists, and who is to say that because it happened to Hank Aaron back then it wont happen to Barry today?
Ok so he signs a contract last year knowing damn well he is in a predicament, he had to settle, he might not of been an Eagle if he didnt. He is on ESPN for public support like i said before, it puts pressure on the Eagles organization, they put it back on him, it is going back and forth, big deal. T.O is looking like the bad guy but he shouldn't. If T.O isnt bigger than his team then when is the last time you heard anything about how the actual training camp is going rather then T.O? Still i agree no player is bigger than a team but i dont think T.O is tyring to make it look like he is. A player holding out might be putting himself first but T.O never did that, he is doing what they "pay" him to do, and that is when the stubborness of T.O comes in. But i see the Eagles being stubborn also, in the big picture. I think players should have more power in any league, they are trying to show they still hold everything on their players and they do, no odubt about it, but T.O challenging them is cool with me. I see why everyone is hating on him, i've seen it since day one, but to me it really isn't that bad. So he calls out some people, McNabb being tired in the Super Bowl, if he wasnt tired what was he, something was definitely wrong, McNabb could come out and admit to whatever and that could be cleared up. He doesn't sign autographs and shit but the Eagles dont pay him to do that , stuborness, also kind of smartass funny at the same time. I dont know, T.O is being like the smart kid in class who can do all the work but tests the teacher with everything. I guess i dont find myself bothered by it that much. But the end all to end all is Michael Irvin, who would of thought. Get the 3 key people in this, McNabb Reid Owens sit them down get thorugh this season talk contract after you perform this season. Plus after all he is coming off a big injury, the Super Bowl could say can make that hold no weight but i think it is still relevant. But good arguement goin on and shit, like a barbershop up in here.

You don't get the point. McNabb was tired, that was obvious. But you should, no, you HAVE to have more class than to point fingers when you lose. You don't ever see that happening with other teams when they lose, it's unsportsmanlike. And TO is getting all the attention, because he wants it. As for the autograph thing, it is mandatory for players to do this during training camp. All the players have to do this, why should he get special treatment? That's what I mean when I say he thinks he's bigger than the team. Why is he so important that he doesn't have to do what the rest of the team does? Besides, a lot of fans come out to see him, he should feel obligated to treat them wth respect. He just needs to show more class than he does. Like I said, look at the greats in other sports, you don't see them acting like that do you? That's what makes them great. And that's why, no matter what he does, he will always be remembered for this kind of shit rather than his accomplishments on the field.

That is his fault, i never said you have to like him, but let him get his money and forget what he does off the field. He was signing autographs at his house though, that was kind of ironic, he just likes to slap the Eagles in teh face pretty much, funny if you ask me.
See T.O didnt initially call McNabb out, there was a statement a comparison and T.O dropped the bomb, he was upset he just lost the Super Bowl. Even if McNabb was tired and shit, well he was, why not admit to it. It wont hurt him at all to say yeah im tired, i just left my heart out there on the field and i lost and ill be back next year, probably would of earned him more respect, but hey that is how it went down.

How can you forget what he does off the field, he's always doing something to get his face on ESPN. I mean, why do you think he does things like the sharpie incident? Doing situps in front of the cameras? He wants the attention. He knows he's going to get criticized for doing it, but he does it anyway. A lot of that is the media's fault for putting so much coverage on him, but he loves it. And I don't see anything funny about slapping your team in the face, that's the reason they aren't going to win the Super Bowl any time soon, there's no comraderie on the team. All he's doing is splitting them apart.

They are letting him split them apart, if Reid wasn't such a pussy he would deal with T.O sit his ass down and talk to him instead of send him home. Same with McNabb. They act like as long as the do there job on thie field they will be ok but that is not true at all. There might be competition between the two, that might be ok, but it is bad for the team to treat the situation like they are. T.O parades around like he does cus he can, everyone eats it up and he is in the limelight, he is like the 50 cent of the NFL, except he has skills to perform on the field. I completely agree with Irvin on this one though, sit them all down get everything out, play this year if he performs renegotiate next summer. Let T.O do what he is doing, people are letting him hurt them, if he just did what he did and no one cared i doubt it would cause such an extravaganza and he would probably stop. Hopefully they can get by all this and use the team they got.

The rumor is already going around. I have NFL Field Pass for realplayer, and I'm listening to the pregame for the Falcons/Ravens game tonight, and apparently there are rumors that TO may end up in Atlanta by the end of the season. Of course, like I said, it's only a rumor, but an interesting one at that.

^ He should go back to San Fran.. he deserves it. I don't see why the Eagles wouldn't do it. They'd get good draft position if they got any picks.
I'd love to see the look on his face if the Eagles told him he was going back to the 49ers, he'd probably have the hissy fit to end all hissy fits lol. But if he goes to the Falcons they really have a good chance of taking the Super Bowl this year. :thumb: Lol apparently now he's posing for pictures in the stands at the Falcons game, what an attention whore

The Falcons have good, capable receivers. Owens won't put them over the top. The Falcons need Vick to take the extra step in his development to be put over the top.

Some defensive help couldn't hurt either.

True, but a lot of their recievers haven't really been tested yet, They have one rookie and a regular back up reciever at starting positions this year, since Peerless Price got demoted to back up, so TO could certainly help, as long as he doesn't get injured or make himself too much of a distraction. But you're right, it's really going to be on Vick this year more than ever

Yeah, T.O. would def. help, but I think it woul donly shoot them over the Vikings in the NFC. The Panthers and Eagles odds would still be better IMO.
