^ women are hard to figure out. First they ask for equal treatment, and when they are given such demands they come up with such posts as Amara's. :p

Khaled, I think it's disrespectful to call them ninja's of Iran.

Menace: Why is it scary? cuz they wear they close they wear?

Calcuo, same to you. Are you scared from british female police officers?

Racists!

^ How is it embarassing or funny for that matter? I don't see anyone saying it's embarrassing to have female police officers in the USA or in Australia? You people are just plain hypocrites.

Jurhum, only our Armed Response Units carry that sort of hardware & we rarely see them. I suggest they'd have females in their ranks, but not many.

The thing is, it's alien to me to see women with that sort of weaponry & from a completely chauvinistic POV, they are too emotional to have them & - due to oppression in other areas of society - all this power may go to their heads.

I don't go around asking for "equal treatment" shit, I am fortunate enough to live in a place where I dont have to. Don't pretend to know what I think or what I ask for simply because I am a woman.

I just think it's dumb to suggest that equality of sexes = equality to participate in violence. It's exceedingly ironic if you ask me. Then again, I guess I am just a pacifist and don't think anyone should have to waltz around with a rifle in hand...

Calcuo, maybe they need such weapons to protect the public due to the enviroment they live in. UK is different than Iran. As is the USA is different from the UK.

We tend to be judgemental.

Amara, I was just kidding. Anyway, I actually think women shouldn't be police officers. No, I am not a sexist person. However, due to the nature of this job, I think it's more dangerous for females than it is for male officers to be out on the streets at any given time sometimes alone trying to wrestle a 200 or 300 person.

Yes, the job is dangerous. Period. Doesn't matter whether it comes to law enforcement or war - the debate over the relative strengths of men and women are subsidiary issues to me.... how about generating a peaceful society where neither sexes have to face the prospects of violence. Yep, "idealist."

These aren't scenes from movies, they're from a graduation ceremony and training activities. I don't know why Vienna would claim outright that they were fake.

I've seen the footage those pictures are taken from on BBC news, along with interviews with the women talking about equality etc.

OK, now if you two really want to get into this you'll need to take it to WoW.

(I can die happy now that I have told Amara off lol)
You call that a telling off? Bah, that's a mere suggestion, which you are ill-equipped to enforce.

I wasn't going to follow up Jurhum's comment because it would be opening pandora's box if you ask me....but I'm half tempted to do it now to spite you, Calcuo. ;)

Ill-equipped? Well that's something I can honestly say I've never had said to me before.

Actually, come to think of it that whole first section is just you trying to goad me into spanking you.....I am immune to reverse psychology!

Oh god, this is not the first time my wit has gone unnoticed.
I was commenting not on women being police officers, read my post again and you'll see what i was saying.
For all i care, whoever that wants to be a cop can be a cop. Who cares? i was just commenting on the looks of persian women. I've realised that there is no alright persian girl. It's either really ugly, or really hot. nothing inbetween.
