well the brewers are in a huge slump, and they are still gonna be 7 up on the astros and cubs. it seems like no matter how much the brewers lose, the cubs and astros are losing more.

well, we are all in a shitty division, and the brewers did get such a good record by playing teams in this shitty division... they have yet to win a series since may 11.... it's a little more than a slump, it was a fluke start.... the only issue the cubs have is a bullpen that was above average last season, yet failed to show up this season... there is no issue with the starting rotation nor is there an issue with the bats... its only a matter of time till the chink is fixed and the cubs can start winning again...

I guess we'll find out. Brewers do have BOTH of the HR leaders in the NL though.

and the cubs have two of the top pitchersi n the NL in marquis and lilly... if only Z stepped it up...

prince fielder seems to be the real deal.... hardy, however, looks like he might fade away soon.....

it's hard to believe, but pitchers can be streaky too.... they're mostly strike out pitchers, so they do get scored on alot, but the team makes up for it with the bats, so their ERA is like...5.50 but they still get the win...

with that being said, Cubs starters' ERA is 3.69 combined, whereas the brewers' starters are at 4.24... that's not very good, and certainly isnt at the top 5 even...

bye bye zambrano for a couple games or so...and brewers just won a series. now they have braun on the roster and hart leading off. prince has the most hr in the MLB (tied with a-rod) and coco has 20 straight saves. how can you keep denying their talent?

i gotta give it to you... the brewers might be in on this one for the long haul... still, how about my cubbies coming within 4.5 games of you?

and ryan braun is a fuckin beast, or has been the past month....

Cubs have been going fucking NUTS over the past couple weeks. Total monsters.

I've been saying to bring Braun up since the beginning of the season, and after they did, I was so psyched. Look what he turned into.

Truthfully, no team in the NL scares me except the cubs.

and the thing is that it doesnt seem to be a fluke... the pitching is actually clicking... or... it has been, save for the bullpen, but marmol picked that up very well....

just the hitting is torrid with young guys like fontenot and theriot and even marshall and hill in the rotation... finally some youth have shown up.... the cubs just have to be patient..... i mean, look at segio mitre on the marlins... he was a cubs prospect... look back a couple years and he was blowing games for the cubs left and right... now, he is thebest on the marlins staff....

but yeah, i picked up braun in my fantasy league and he has helped quite a bit.... so thank god for him.... sheets is a surprise too after a shitty season or two...

maybe i didnt see and realize it since it was happening to my own team, but the lineup is one of the most potent ones in the majors... just the red sox and yanks are more dangerous... soriano leading off... lee being a hitting machine, though i wish he would hit more homers, aramis being somewhat of a slugger or atleast the hr hitter, derosa being so versatile and clutch, and fontenot and theriot also being the hitting and speed of the team... the bull pen is the only gaping hole...

Actuall I think the Sox have the best offense, followed by Milwaukee, followed by Chicago. Hart is one of the best leadoff men in the league. Hardy was an all-star. Braun bats .350. Fielder speaks for himself. Estrada is bating .293. When Estrada isn't in, we have Miller at .312. Gwynn is batting .297. Mench and Jenkins are both clutch hitters splitting PT. Out only low point in the order, is Weeks, who is in a major slump. Look at Weeks before he got injured. He was a major all-star contender. If Weeks gets back into it, it's over.
