Omg. How is the quote not understandable? I'm not saying literally were a Virus or some type of organism. I'm relating our funtions to a virus. And that our purpose & functions relate. What a virus does, we do. I will state it again maybe you will understand it thuroughly this time. A VIRUS IS BORN/CREATED IN ONE AREA. IT CONSUMES EVERYTHING IN THAT PARTICULAR AREA TO SURVIVE. IN ORDER TO SURVIVE, IT MUST REPRODUCE AND MOVE ONTO A NEW AREA AND CONSUME THAT AREA AS WELL TO SURVIVE. THERE IS NO END UNTIL IT HAS DESTROYED EVERYTHING IT HAS MOVED ONTO. LIKE HUMANS, THERE IS NO END TO OUR EXISTENCE UNTIL WE HAVE DESTROYED MOTHER NATURE & EACH OTHER. WE MOVE FROM AREA TO AREA, CONSUME, REPRODUCE TO SURVIVE ON THIS PLANET.
If that doesn't make sense to you. Then I dont know what other way to put it. Stop trying to sound educated & put yourself above others by disagreeing, cuz thas all I see in this thread.
That does make sense. but, you cant say humanity is like a virus based on certain select refrences and similarities. If that was the case I could say, human beings are like cars. We both need a fuel/food source to live, we both move around, we both have inner workings, we both stop working if we dont have our fuel/food source. I can compare humanity to anything and find similarities, but the fact is, there are other factors that need to be considered when making such a bold statement in comparing humanity to something.
The truth is humanity is not like a virus, sure there are similarities but if you fail to see the differences then you are the one that needs to leave this thread.
Your capitalized quote above is irrational based on the first argument being wrong, Humanity is NOT a virus. You could however say, humans are born in one area, they consume everything in that area to survive, reproduce and move on to a new area and will survive until everything is consumed. Saying that would be valid, but those points do not equal humanity being like a virus.
All I see happening in this thread is you and other realizing you were wrong but not being man enough to admit it so you change your argument.
Your first post said; “I love this quote from the movie
becuz i believe its true. Anyone agree that we humans are a disease?”
I answered your question, do I believe humans are a disease? No, humans by definition are not a disease. You didn’t say it was a metaphor, you said it was true. Im telling you it is not true, and the quote isn’t a metaphor it’s a comparative. And even if its just a metaphor, its wrong.
Human beings are not a virus or a disease, sure we share some similarities but we also share similarities with other things, such as cars. By definition, human beings are NOT a disease.
Nothing you say will change that, nor will any pop culture reference or mention in some “cool” movie. Ok sure everyone liked the Matrix, it was a great movie, I love it, but it doesn’t make that quote or comparison right.
