Rukas' dinosaur thread inspired me to do this thread.

But this is something I always think about... how the fuck do we exist? I don't get it, where the hell is the beginning of time? Every once in a while a similar topic comes up but ACTUALLY THINK ABOUT IT. WE'RE HERE RIGHT NOW AND IT MAKES NO SENSE. There's no possible explanation of how everything was created. Whatever created us had to be created by something else, etc. People claim that God formed from dust or some shit, but who the hell made that dust? And other people claim that God just "existed forever", but that just makes no sense.

Post your thoughts. And don't kill yourself trying to find the answers.

the big bang theory , its kind of like the 7 day theory but its the origin and evolution of our universe which happened about 12 to 14 billion years ago.

take a science class... there are logical and plausible explanations for everything up until the creation of the raw materials that fueled the big bang.

Exactly, Science can give you very logical and meaningful explanations on how we were created and how we've evolved however nobody knows where those raw materials that fueled the big bang came from. So if you're stressing about where GOD came from, or if you're a non-believer of GOD, and asking "Ok the big bang happened, but what came before the big bang" .. honestly , don't bother with that

My advice is, either look for these answers in religion or in science because depending on what type of person you are... Both can give you peace of mind, even though perhaps it might be an illusion.

it doesnt make sense in a way. but god doesnt make sense either. the bible is all stuff that would be itnerpreted differently today, we'd attribute many happenings to UFO Activity instead of god or something. it's more likely advanced beings created us than god spontaneously forming and creating us.

god didn't create us. he or she set the ball in motion that ultimately lead to the evolution of human beings. history and evolution is largely a series of chance happenings.

How does it make more sense for God to be an alien?

Aliens are easier to believe because they are seen on TV and people "know" they exist, plus they are "cool."

It's rather silly. I remember someone in the shoutbox telling me they didnt believe in God, or rather that belief was stupid because there was no "proof", but they believed in ghosts and Aliens.
