although i can't really say that i disagree, i really don't think we need anybody here. I don't want Americans here, i want everybody out, whether they are syrians, americans, israeli or palestinians. No one is better than the rest

Hariri is one of the most successful people in Lebanese history, in business and politics. He had good ties with Europe and Saudi Arabia, the man was fluent in many languages and most of all he really went out of his way to help rebuild Beirut. There are many who agrue that he was corrupt and, because of his hightened power, created a government within the government so to speak, but may I say, that no one in this Lebanese government is a dove. The man did his best, he singlehandedly rebuilt the downtown area by his investments in solitaire. There are many roads and buildings credited to him. And though you may believe he could have done more, his image as a representative of Lebanon overshadowes all of the shortcomings. He was a hardworking man and an assett to Lebanon, he will be dearly missed. They're having a small get together in remembrance of him this weekend at some mosque here in Michigan. Even though I'm christian, I'm going to attend because I sincerely appreciate everything the man has done to revive Lebanon. I hope all of Lebanon remembers the hardship brought upon by civil war and not fall in the same, reaction driven trap.
It's solidaire.
I never came across a Maronite who liked him, they blame him for sinking the country with debts and being corrupt. Some people are just pathetic man.

RIP Hariri, he was truely a great man. There are not many generous good hearted people like that any more. I never see people with the money he had coming out of pocket to rebuild cities and send kids to school. He will truely be missed.

BY the way, wasnt he trying to get Hezbollah out as well as the Syrians? It very well could have been Hezbollah
Hezbollah are lebanese, he didn't want them out, but he wanted peace, which might have been a threat to Hezbollah.

True^^^, so Bush said that the US was going to get to the bottom of this and I hope it does. US already withdrew its ambassador from Syria, I wonder what happens next.
