I dunno. Russia will probably do shit in Euro 2008. At least if England were there, then we might get some exciting knock out game involving them. But they didnt deserve to qualify. Their style of football is shit. England are incapable of playing good football. Its as simple as that. They play 4-5-1 tonight when they need to win? What the fuck.

The whole youth system in England and Ireland for that matter is shit. The emphasis is put on the physical side of the game and not on technique and skill. It is often the case in schoolboy team where a small skillful player who is able to pass the ball is ignored for the bigger awkward player who is incapable of playing a decent pass. The big guy plays in central midfield only because he is big and can tackle better. Yea you need a few big physical guys in the team but you need a blend of both types of players. England dont have this though.

Peter Crouch is an excellent player. He took his goal well. I hate how idiots dismiss him because of his height and build. He has probably the most skillful out of all the England team tonight. If his goal was enough to send England through then i would have been happy for him.

Croatia are a good team. They played some very football and should have won the game by more. They could go far in Euro 2008.

Northern Ireland missed out. They only lost 1-0 to Spain. Sweden go through with Spain. Im not bothered that they didnt qualify.

Portugal scraped through with a 0-0 draw at home to Finland. I think Finland missed an open goal in the last minute and should have won the game. I would have liked Finland to go through.

So is this the first time ever that no team from Ireland or the UK has qualified for a major tournament? At least Scotland and the North can be proud of their efforts though.

Of course they sat back. Ireland always do the same. Both teams mentalities are the same. They take the lead, or in your case equalizer, and then they sit back. It was the same against Russia and lreland concede late in nearly every game. The best form of defense is attack. If a team sits back on a goal lead, they nearly always get punished.
