^^Yes but you have to ask are the players really that good or are they being over hyped? i dunno but it doesnt say much for the premiership if no team from Ireland and UK qualifies.

I think the answer to that question is yes and yes. Individually, most of Englands starting eleven are quality players but they cannot seem to play together well enough when it matters. And yes they are way over-hyped by the media, and I'm not siding with the press here but I can see why they do it. Looking at the team on paper you'd think we would be at least semi-finalists at the Euros. And because the media is so self-centered and shallow they'll immediately jump at any knock-back or bad performance. It would be nice if for once they could get behind the team and manager and offer encouragement and support instead of the usual criticism.

^I agree.

Lampard is an exemple. He doesn't do shit.

one guy that is underrated incredibly is Stevie G... The guy, to me, is the best midfielder on this planet...

Actually Gerrard is very over rated imo. He is capable of doing dramatic things but his overall midfield play isnt word class. I think that Scholes is the best central midfielder in the premiership and one of the best in the world. He is so underrated as well. And i say that as a Liverpool supporter so it is saying something.

Most of the players in the England team have had considerable success at club level, yet they under perform for the national side. I think you have to look to the manager for answers.

If you think about England as a club, they'd certainly be one of the top teams in Europe. Could you imagine Steve McClaren getting the Chelsea job? Me neither. It was a mistake to give him the job.

Can't see Jose managing England to be honest, he doesn't even want to manage his home side Portugal.

If England don't qualify do you guys think Mclaren will be sacked? If so, who might replace him? Before Mclaren was appointed I wanted Sam Allardyce to get the job, i'm a big fan of his.

urgh no - have met him he is a tosser!!!

i'd rather have jose!!!

Staunton got sacked last night. I feel sorry fot he guy. He was a great player for us and for Liverpool. David O Leary is favorite to succeed. I pray that he stays away.
