I hope that Scotland go through...

At least I'll have them and Croatia to support.

Davy, we will pass out at least 3 times.

I dont really think it does. Just means we have to beat Italy instead of a draw. It was always gonna be very difficult for us anywayz.

My calculations were wrong. I belive England are going out.:D
There is still a possibility Scotland won't make it. Like you said, Scotland have to beat Italy in order to go through and it won't be as easy. Italy has one other match against Faroe Islands. If Italy draws and then beats Faroe Islands which will most likely happen, than Scotland will be out and Italy in. France also needs to win to go through. So there are bunch of possibilities, so it does shake things up, its not given that Italy, France or Scotland will go through.

lol at Germany loosing at home 0 - 3 to Czech Republic. Shock. But than again, not really a shock.

I'm sure Germany doesn't care too much. They're already qualified. Was it their A team or B team?

In other news, Drogba wants to leave Chelsea.

Interesting fact...think what you want of it...

Rooney foul on the Russian player was outside of the box.

The Coach of Russia is Hiddink.

The ref was Cantalejo.

Who's Cantalejo?

He reffed the game between Italy and Australia when he whisteled one of the worst dives I've seen in my life.

Hiddink coached Australia.

Coinkidinky? I think not.

Isn't it in the Law of the game that if a player is fouled outside the box, but falls into it, a penalty will be awarded anyways. I seem to remember that rule.

Meh, maybe its that crack I smoked earlier.

Rooney was still holding him back when he got into the box, so it was a penalty. So says a referee who wrote in to Football Weekly.

But, as James Richardson said, I think it was a bit harsh anyway. Rooney wasn't doing that much, and I think the player made the most of it. Still, can't blame the ref for the loss.

Can't see Jose managing England to be honest, he doesn't even want to manage his home side Portugal.

If England don't qualify do you guys think Mclaren will be sacked? If so, who might replace him? Before Mclaren was appointed I wanted Sam Allardyce to get the job, i'm a big fan of his.

Big sam aint gonna leave Newcastle. He was really wanting the England job when Ericksonn left but they stupidly opted for Mclaren. I think sam was quite hurt by this as he has obviously paid his dues way more than Mclaren the dud has.

I dont know if jose would want the England job but it is an attractive offer if it were to come up. Im sure a lot of top managers would consider the job, the amount of quality players they have is crazy. Plus jose could slip back into the English way of life he was enjoying before his departure.

I have to be honsest an say if England dont make the finals il feel a little sorry for them. ok i love to watch them getting KO'D from the finals, but thats only cuz of the english media, not the english. I aint a typical scottish english basher! After England got KO'D from the last world cup it seemed to just knock the stuffing outta them! Becks crying and the whole drama of it all was a joy to watch, but sad for them. But if you'd lived in the UK and herd all the english press and pundits coming out with all this hype over the years you would also love it when England flop.

I agree to some extent that the English media over-rates the national team, and when we are knocked out of a major tournament the dissapointment is only amplified by the huge expectations everyone has of our national side.

It will be a shame if we don't qualify, we are one of the top ten footballing nations and should be there.

Seems that Steve Staunton's days are numbered as Irish manager. I feel sorry for him. He was a great player for Liverpool and Ireland and was one of my favorite players as a kid, but he hasnt been good as manager. Some of his team selection have been stange especially the team he put out the other night. There are talks of Dave O'Leary coming in. I dont want that prick as manager. If they sack Staunton they better get a top manager in.
Ireland have been very poor but to be honest we dont have the players. We have some good young players but the likes of Kilbane, O Shea, Carsley are just pure and utter rubbish.

Well if England doesn't make it, then they didn't deserve to be in the Euro. It's the whole concept of the qualifications... If not, then Spain, England, Germany, France, Italy and Holland would qualify automaticaly for every Euro...

I think you took what I said the wrong way. I never said they should automatically earn a spot in Euro 2008, what I meant was with the players England have they should breeze through the qualifying stage. But alas, football is not always so simple.

^^Yes but you have to ask are the players really that good or are they being over hyped? i dunno but it doesnt say much for the premiership if no team from Ireland and UK qualifies.

Another worrying thing is that our media are becoming more and more like the English media. They call on fans to boo the team and tear the manager and players to bits after a poor performance. This cant be good for the confidence of the many young players we have and may be part of the reason Stephen Ireland(one of the few positives from our qualifying campaign) didnt want to come for the last two games.
