If it's creatine monohydrate, make sure it doesn't come in pill form because of its low bioavailability. It needs to come in a mix, either loaded with sugar,or other transportation means, such as ALA or arginine.

If you want the pill form, you need to get CEE,which is creatine ethyl ester. It's basically creatine mono, but has an ester attached to it,which makes it absord really well.

In my opinion and experience, CEE > CM

Creatine is one of the best and safest muscle building supplements you can get.I highly recommend it

I use Twinlab's Creatine Fuel Mega pill form. I just don't have the time to go home and mix creatine with water so the pill form for me is the best option. Usually I go to work and then head straight to the gym in which that's where I take the creatine pills. On mines it has a 3600 MG of creatine monohydrate while it is recommended you take 3-6 pills a day preferably before working out and after working out. About 6 pills is 7200 MG. If only I had the time I would get the mix because of what bigmack said.

On a side note, when would be the best time to take creatine? At what intervals throughout the day or is it post workout only.

I only ask cos I've never used it before and can't be bothered to do any research at the moment.

Suggested Use:
Workout days:
Take 3 tablets with around 400ml of water 45 minutes before a workout. Take another 3 tablets with around 400ml of water 30 minutes after your workout.
Non workout days:
Take 3 tablets with around 400ml of water with your first meal. Take another 3 tablets with 400ml of water with another meal 4-6 hours later.

if u don't even know how to spell it I don't suggest takin it. It's not like you buy those things and you'll get bigger just like that. U need 2 work out the right way, you gotta eat the right way - if u don't it's a waste of money but we talked about that a couple of times before so I don't feel like goin there again...

Thank you kind sir :thumb:

Next question...

If I were to take them, as described, for a six week cycle (for example), then not take them after that (but continue working out), what would be the "loss factor" if any? Or is it simply a case of, once you stop taking them your stay as you are but the gains come slower/are harder to achieve?

You will lose a couple of lbs afterwards but over all you should have gained. I think, brickmack correct me if I'm wrong, the loss of lbs after a cylce is mainly water anyway, therefor you shouldn't worry. You'd have 2 work out just as before (change your routine sometimes, take off a week or so every now and then) and after a certain period of time you can do another cycle....

From another (fitness) forum

"otally different mechanisms of action. Creatine replaces lost creatine phosphates and loads up your bodies creatine stores. This aids faster recoveries, can increase anaerobic 'endurance', and can offset lactic acid build-up by causing muscles to retain more water. HotRox, to the best of my knowledge is a thermogenic, designed to temporarally increase your base metabolic rate by raising your body temerature, this increase beign fueled from bodyfat stores.

It sounds like these guys are trying to trim down the bodyfat and are using creatine to help hold on to their muscle and performance while in a calorie deficit. It's not a bad plan."

Truth? Comments?

Yes this is true.Creatine is great for trimming down too.It keeps your strength up and causes less muscle loss. I wouldn't advise using Hot Rox as a thermogenic though,it's a piece of crap supp from a piece of crap company.

My bad,i spelt it wrong.Ive never really heard much about it until the last week or so.I train an awful lot but my diet could be better.Im gonna try it.Anyone know good sites to buy from?

I've been taking creatine for probably about 6 months now, cycling it with 6 weeks on then 2 weeks off and so on. For me I've found this works great, during the time that I take it I always see faster gains, but when I stop taking it I've never seen my weight or strength drop at all, maybe I'm just lucky. Next cycle I think I'm gonna try the ones pittsey posted they're a lot cheaper.

Has anyone taken creatine in serum form & if so what did you think?

creatine serum is garbage.creatine is not stable in liquid form, matter a fact,it turns into creatinine which is poisonous and will harm your body.
