^ no, i have no idea what u mean by that.
Have you run a virus scan, just to make sure it's not a virus?

i cant use 2 firewalls at the same time right?
No, they'll conflict. I don't think you'll have to uninstall McAfee firewall, just shut it down.

There's no guarantee that Zone Alarm or any other firewall won't do the same thing.

It usually is, but you're better off getting files from the official sites. The Knowledge Base at the top of the forum has links to AVs, firewalls etc.

damn, i thought i was banned for a second i couldnt get in nomore when i installed this Zone Alarm.

ok. i installed it and couple of things poped up askin me if i wanted to 'allow' or 'deny' them.

Videocall.exe
Backweb-8876480.exe
Lexpps.exe

i didnt know what they were so i 'deny' them all. let me know if i should allow them.

like i said i couldnt get in here (TB) for a second, i thought i was banned. maybe cause im blockin one of those files or not 'allowin' them is what kept me comnig in here.

right now i uninstalled Zone Alarm, i had to cause i couldnt get in with that program runing.
i think Zone Alarm or somethin with that program is blockin me here get in, so help me what it is.

plus there was this 'parent control' thingy or somethin on every page i would go and it would let me know what cookies and shit was i geting n shit.

EDIT: i installed it back and its allowing me to get in here.

but...everywhere i go its askin my permission if i wanna allow or deny man. wft is this shit? i log in AOL and its askin me if i wanna allow or not, i tryna open my logitech its askin if i wanna do it or not, i tryed to open i-tunes to play some music its askin me if im sure i wanna open it or not. wtf?

ok answer just these questions.

1)what are these, if i should allow or deny these..
Videocall.exe
Lexpps.exe
2)how do i go bout this zonealarm anyway? like its runing its self and i never have to do any scanin or updates on it or what do i do with it. should it be shutdown or be runing.
3) this off topic but what is this file and what do i do with it, every time i restart and windows opens this box comes up right away, how do i get rid of it?

4)also, about Antivir updates. its askin me to update my antivir but i did update. im using antivir XP and it only has 'internet updater' and thats what im updating from, but usually it antivir programs have 'live update' but mine doesnt have that, i got 'internet updater' and i do that but still sayin its not updater.

1.

backweb-8876480.exe is installed with the software for Logitech products. It checks for software upgrades from Logitech.
It's present under Software => Logitech Desktop Manager, where it can be uninstalled.

lexpps.exe is a Lexmark printer sharing application which allows you to share a printer over a network.

videocall.exe seems to be another file related to logitech products...

Google seems to do wonders doesn't it? Draw your own conclusion to allow or not..

2.

Of course the firewall should be running and not shutdown.. it runs in the background and starts with windows. Update it from time to time (I'm not familiar with this firewall so I don't know if it autoupdates).

3.

No idea about that problem because the link doesn't even work.

4.

Wtf?

Allow them, they're fine.

Running, obviously. You'll need to check for updates, though it might let you know when it's out-of-date.

When a program tries to access the internet a box will come up and Zone Alarm will ask you whether you want to let it run. If you know what the program is, click "Allow". If not, click "Deny" (you can always ask on here).

Do you know if you use WildTangent?
Try reinstalling it from here

I don't understand what you mean? Right click on the little umbrella icon in the system tray (bottom right hand corner of your screen) and click "Start Internet Update", then click Start. What happens?

I know there was a problem recently with downloading the latest update because it was a major update and there were too many people trying to download it.

There should be a little checkbox when you have allow a program that says "Remember this program" or "Always allow" or something.

I think it should pop up and tell you to update.

Check under Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel, might be some kind of McAfee program listed there you need to uninstall.

Uninstall it, you probably don't use it. You can always reinstall it.

Zone Alarm isn't an anti-virus, it's a firewall. Check the Knowledge Base for free anti-virus programs.

Im still havin trouble with AOL.

my firewall still blockin some of the AOL files and it wouldnt let AOL work fully.

and i cant seem to find the option where i can fix this problem.

where do i go and try to have these files unblocked??

cause everytime firewall is blockin these files it askin me to restart and that happens a lot so i dont wanna be restartin everytime.
