There is a difference between "school can't teach you everything" and just ignorin this time in history class. Of couse somewhere self teachin starts but you have to know about the existence of a certain topic before you could start findin out more about it. And again. why wouldn't you talk in class about all these events? What do they teach? I'd really like to know that. What do they teach in history class that is so much more important that there ain't no time to talk about WWII?

Ermmm.... Eleven million people were killed inthe Holocaust. Five million of these were non-Jewish. Three million were Polish Christians and Catholics.

The Polish loss is the real forgotten Holocaust. Everytime Holywood or anyone makes a movie or anything bout the Holocaust its Jews this and Jews that. Not suprising considering that Jews run Holywood, they use the shit to their advantage for pity, and never make a mention of the other people that lost their lives, we used for slave labour, etc etc.

Talking on Hollywood & how they 'miss' things out. I always find it disgusting that they portray America as the 'heroes' who saved the day when not only were America in the war for selfish reasons, they didn't join until very late on & before then it had been Poles & French & the rest of the European countries who had been laying their lives down to, at times, only slow the Nazi war machine.

The ill-equipped who marched to their deaths for their country should not be forgotten & should be more celeberated than the financially driven Johnny-come-lately who was supplying the facists in the first place & who always had the means to stop them.

No matter how many Eastern Europeans, French, British, Scandanavians, Belgians, Dutch etc. died, one casket draped in the American flag seems to automatically make America the martyr.

i never was taught about this at school , maybe it was a too horiffic a thing to be taught , and like i said didnt know bout it till i read the article in the paper

Obviously they don't, at least not everywhere. Of course you can't go very deep but come on. A couple of guys here say they weren't teached about this in school and that's just wrong, I can't believe that.

I am honestly saddened by what happenened in Auschwits and by the deaths of so many innocent people. But I feel that various Jews are attempting to take advantage of this day. They are trying to legitimise the massacres that are taking place in Palestine. I was listening to the radio the other day and all the presenter was saying is that "we can't let this happen again, we need a homeland, we need to protect that homeland by any means neccesary"
fair enough he did't say it directly, but hes implying that its orite to kill innocent people as long as its done by the poor Israelis.

Also he continued the conversation by saying " most muslim women who wear hijaabs are oppresed and they have taken islam to the extreme". Maybe it was their own choice. I mean no one says that nuns are oppressed when the dress up in theis christian gear. Also orthodox Jews dress up differently. Thats fully accepted, b'coz they aint muslim. You're mad that American movies glorify American soldiers in World War II? Are you serious? You don't want this country to make movies glorifying their veterans? I think it's fair to assume that England and Russia make World War II movies about British and Russian troops all the time.

If you want a comprehensive World War II movie, the damn thing would be a marathon.

The United States officially joined the war in 1941, and the war (which started in 39) ended in 45. I wouldn't say that was a late entry. Besides, the United States assisted the Allies from the very beginning. American pilots flew in the RAF during the 1940 Battle of Britain.

And since the United States was the only nation to face a 2 front war except for Germany throughout World War II, I think efforts to dismiss its war effort are completely farcical.

I have no idea where you got the idea that the United States or any Allied nation (except for the Soviets) supplied the fascists.

And I definitely don't understand why you think anybody had the means to stop them. Germany had the strongest military on the planet: it required the entire efforts of the Soviets and Brits and over 250,000 Americans to fight the Germans for 6 years to force their surrender.

I understand that millions of Slavs lost their lives in the Holocaust, but claiming that the Jews run Hollywood is absurd. I think it's more accurate to say that American Jews are very prominent in the entertainment industry. Jews are overrepresented in most aspects of American culture: It's called hard work.

When did I say that it happens in here? In fact it never happend to me but let me explain....
Believe me or not, in Europe this is so a sensetive topic that jews sometimes take advantage of it playin the "Nazi card". Like if a politican says that germany payed enough money now for the crimes that happend, jews just call him a nazi without any discussion about the topic and cause everybody is so scared you know, it's a simple way to win....of like someone else said before, they take the events of the past as legimentation for all their actions against Palestina. 'Assisted'? Yeah, I suppose they did but you convientely left out that the Allies paid for this assistance & paid heavily. America wasn't doing anything that didn't benefit them.

America was doing business with Germany right up until they joined the war. An act was passed to stop American businesses trading with Germany, I think it's name was something imaginative like the 'Trading With The Enemy Act'
