I like it. I do think the Legend and Droid have better designs though.

Anyway what's really gonna shake things up is apparently how they're gonna market it.

Supposedly you'll buy the phone from Google's site for $99, no contract, unlocked. Pop in a T-Mobile SIM (for example), and get a monthly unlimited data plan for $29, but you're not locked in to that for any amount of time either. That's it. You don't need a voice plan at all because..... all the calls are unlimited, through Google Voice.

That is going to be a very affordable option for many many people.

What I've heard is that it will be available in retail stores unlocked for $199, but if you buy it on Google's site (which supposedly will be located at the convenient URL of simply google.com/phone) it's $199 with a $100 dollar rebate, and you can choose to have that $100 in cash, credit for Android Market, or credit for your Google Account in general so you could use it at any online store that uses Google Checkout.

It remains to be seen whether those prices are true, but it came from a good source. We're supposedly looking at a Jan 5th release date.

Google Voice isn't available in the UK, so doubt it. It'll probably cost more to get the phone here. I have a US address though so I'll be able to get one :)

the music one is really good, and the calendat one looks good too - nice to see a quick summary of upcoming events. don't really like the navigation of the google calendar (phone version), would prefer the back key to take me to the original menu but it always exits. that's not a major problem anyway.

nice widgets, think i'll be leaving that one on the 5th screen. need more screens now lol. cant remember the name of the application, but you can get one that does the same thing on your windows desktop.
