Shiiiiiit. Those were really cool. I'm still trying to find the app they had on display that sent SMS messages by location. Like you could tell it to send a text to a friend when GPS detected you were at a certain location.

I have only been able to find one that does it by time, which is also pretty cool.

Go to AF's Lounge and see how much hate there is for Apple. I have yet to go on any forum where there are Apple fanboys hating as much as Android fanboys.

That's Apple's image, aggressive marketing and the fact that more technically experienced people see how overpriced and bad (for their price) some of their products are compared to competition - you either love them or hate them.
Android just is, there's not much to hate about it really. It's either great or meh to you. Usually great because it's indeed very good. Not without flaws but it really gives very little to no reasons to hate it.
Amongst tech people in my surroundings probably everyone dislikes Apple and likes Android. Even if someone doesn't really "feel" Android and dislike using it still they don't hate it - maybe because it's free, open etc. so even if it doesn't appeal to you still you think that it's a good idea because you're not being ripped off.

Well, don't they make sacrifices on hardware to make sure that their products "just work?"

Why the 13" MacBook Pro didn't get a Core i5 upgrade

It was a business move. With I3 there they would have to offer that notebook for a similar price but because of higher manufacturing costs they would have smaller gains. Clearly an I3 would be the best choice as far as user is concerned. Faster, offering some cool features that older core 2 duos don't offer and most of all much more energy efficient, smaller TDP which means less heat.
I5 would be an overkill for that laptop and it's almost as efficient per clock cycle but more expensive.
To me it proves that Apple are cheap while trying to sell things for prices as high as they can :p

If you spend $3000 on a $700 computer they're going to try to make you happy
I think this comment summed it up :)

Now I can't really say much about their customer service because there's no real Apple service center in Poland lmfao. They outsource a few all-around tech service points for minor tasks and if something's wrong with your Iphone for example (like if battery needs replacing) you have to send it abroad.
Possibly every other company has its own service here.

The reason Apple gets a lot of hate is because people hate when Apple users are so happy with their products. They're thinking, "But our ASUS netbook is so much better, WHY CAN'T PEOPLE FUCKING UNDERSTAND THERE ARE CHEAPER PRODUCTS AHFAHDFHASDHF FUCK LIFE". Like that.

I dunno about y'all but my Toshiba netbook hasn't crashed once in 2 years, it's epic sauce with an uber long lasting battery.

That being said, Android users have bigger dicks - 80% of female (and some male ;)) Apple users agree.

*giggles*

I personally have not had to deal with their customer service, but I have heard amazing things about it. I have never once heard someone complain about their Mac and cursing Apple. Surely not everyone is a sheep that just flocks to Apple's products because it's the "cool thing to do."

And then stuff like this: Why I've become an Apple lifetime customer. : apple

I completely agree with the facts that Apple pionered a lot of the tech.

And I agree with the above also.

Who pioneered the portable HD music player? Otherwise known to everyone else as the ipod, even those that aren't manufactured by Apple.
What do you mean by a portable HD music player? Mp3 player, mp4 player with a display? Everything was out there before. I don't think that Apple came up with any new type of device. I agree that Apple devices tend to change the market though because they bring innovations. They create their own versions of already available products that overshadow those that were out there before. There were better mp3 players before the Ipod though but Ipod was the first "trendy" mp3 player that people wanted to have.
In short I think that Apple takes devices that are rather niche (tablets, smartphones, mp3 players), release their own versions and make it popular by saying how awesome they are and how everyone can use them.

That contributes too but is not the main factor. Most of all that's true but it's not as simple.
Especially IT people are annoyed that people are satisfied with Apple and buy their products if there are cheaper and technically better things. There are many negatives to it as a whole because it makes the market for electronics go wrong way sometimes.
