Valencia are having trouble now for sure, but they're not crazy to sell Mata for an insignificant fee, and from what I heard, Mata is quite happy in Valencia. He's treated like a God, more so than Villa.

Valencia is my fave club in Spain. Interesting history, and very loyal fans.

I think Villa is a more realistic buy for Liverpool, imo.

Villa doesn't want to leave Spain. Hes very comfortable there.

Mata is one of the players Valencia will want to keep and have stated he won't leave.

I personally wouldn't want Silva, I don't think hes as good as people think he is, hes a good player but he isnt a consistant player and can drift out of games easily, plus the physcial nature of the prem will not suit him.

Mata > Silva

To be honest, I don't see why many players would leave Spain to play in England. It's not like it's a shit league.

Like I've said before.

England's big Clubs > Spain's Big Clubs (maybe with the exception of Barca at the moment who's equal to England's big ones)

Spain's small clubs > England's small clubs.

So things kinda keep em both at par with each other.

yea but the reason i mention Valencia is because of their current financial situation and because there is a big Spanish influence at Liverpool.

Sami Hyypia has signed for Bayer Leverkusen

He was the best value for money signing Liverpool ever made considering he only cost 2.5 million.

Still a lot of buzz on Pranjic heading to Liverpool; who will apparently be Riera's replacement. No actual bid yet, his price tag is about 6 to 9 MIL Euros.

If he was playing at Sevilla (which he was about to make a move in January until Heerenveen asked for 10 MIL lol) he'd prob be worth more, depending on how he played there obviously.

Edit: Sami Hyypia. Great player, best of luck to him at B. Leverkusen. Just noticed he's 35, old age is slowly catching onto to him.

Yeah he's 27, it's not too old, but it's slowly getting there. If he does head to Liverpool, he best adapt quick, he should a good 3-4 seasons in him.

im not sure. i thought Riera did ok this season. i dunno where all this talk about Riera being poor has come out of all of a sudden.Im not sure if Pranjic is an improvement on Riera.

^^me too. he wasnt outstanding but i though he played some good games and gave us something extra on the left wing. I have seen in one or two articles " looking to replace the disappointing Riera". My criticism of him would be that he takes too much out of the ball at times but i think he has done quite well for his first season at Liverpool.

Barry is a good player but whats the point.

Of course id prefer to keep him. but if he wants to go, then he can go. just a shame about his outburst last season. i'll never look at him in the same way again.

west brom will discover their fate today should they be relegated. a must win for them, and they need hull to lose. i wouldnt mind albion to stay up though.

newcastle v middlesborough will be a crucial 6 pointer tomorrow. i hope boro win, it will shut some newcaste fans up! it will all go down to the wire - thats's relegation, fight for 7th place and maybe premiership title (if united lose or draw a game and liverpool win).

hopefully united beat city, west ham lose today. id like to see fulham in the europa league and see what roy hodgson can do. i think he's done a fantastic job taking over from lawry sanchez (who was a huge flop).
