Liverpool's ability to come through against "lesser" teams to put the 3 pts on their plate does give the team decent papers for a potential title this year.

As in, the team may not be on rolls yet, adjusting here and there, but by scraping these last minute wins theyve shown a lot mentality, hard work and team spirit. Those are a great foundation to build upon. :thumb:

I hope for you guys Benitez doesn't cock up. :)

Besides that there's also Chelski, Manwhore United and maybe the "we play bst footy lol but no win :(" Gunners...

I still don't see any other team penetrating the top 4 at the end of the road. Spurs are disastrous at the moment and will really need to claw back, possibly (make that "needing") winterperiod signings (striker?lawl). City isn't mature enough by far. Villa? Don't make me laugh. West Ham? Get out of here. Boro? Nuh-uh. Pompey? Njet.

etc

Hughes wont last at Man City, the teams playing great because of the players they got at the moment, not because hughes has them fired up. He's an average manager in my opinion -

I think Hull have been the most impressive soo far because noone expected them to be doing soo well although its still early days. They dont have a star-studded team and yet they give the oppositions a good game. Thats mostly down to there manager and how well he knows his team and the individual players.

Chelea are just too fluent at the moment. If you imagine how many players are not in there regular squad at the moment, injuries wont affect them too much this season. Lookin forward to the big game next week. Liverpool need to scrape a draw, but then that gives Manu Utd a chance to close the gap. If Liverpool break them down then the title race has just changed batons. Chelsea remain unbeaten at home for a loooong time so the odds are stacked up against the reds. Come on you reds ! -

I just bought Rooney into my fantasy league and dropped Adebayor. Wish i woke up in time yesterday morning and made the switch before 11:30am.

How many points you on at the moment Bobby?

i hate when you transfer in a player in fantasy football and then he doesnt play especially if you lose points to do so.

Ronaldo hasn't really go going yet has he? lets hope it stays that way :)

Just watched Spurs and Stoke. Spurs are awful. They had Bale sent off at the start which helped Stoke but still Spurs are just terrible.Dawson followed him at the end. They are a pack of lightweights and windbags. no leadership whatsoever as i pointed out earlier on. I reckon they will go down. Whos gonna move to them in January? Corluka picked up a bad injury. he had to be taken away in an ambulance. hopes he is ok. Modric and Bentley are flopping badly. both were awful today.

Bale was sent off. Spurs have never won a game in which he has played. Is he really that good? im not sure. It was terrible defending from him that ended up with him giving away the penalty and getting sent off. Bentley is a poof. Everytime the camera went on him today he was fixing his hair. I bet he spents 2 hours fixing his hair before the game. what a ponse.

Another interesting thing is that Rory Delap is a first team regular for Stoke. He was good today. He is a decent player and very versatile. He is a Irish international but hasnt being capped in years. Then Glen Whelan, whom Trappatoni plays in central midfield for Ireland, is on the bench for Stoke. Delap can't make the Irish squad but Whelan makes the team. I know they dont play the same position but it doesnt make a lot of sense.

Great, Corluka got injured... Thats gonna be nice for our NT. Hopefully it isnt too serious, he regained consciousness which is good news.

As for Modric, he had a few good shots that went wide, I don't blame him for under performing though. Since he started at Tottenham, he hasn't played his natural position once... He looked better today, than he has when he first started though...

As for Tottenham as a team, there are so many problems there, that you can't even put it on 1 specific thing.

Crap strikers, most of the defenders are leaky, Corluka was one of the better defenders today though. Shit tactics, 4-1-4-1 with Bent alone in front? How does he expect goals?

Tottenham need a win badly, maybe afterwards they'll be more pumped for wins, but as of now. They will go down if nothing changes.

By the way, as for Bentley. I hate the fucker. He made some of the stupidest decisions today, doesn't pass enough, he's a hog. I'd shave his head to teach him a lesson.

^^nah i was a bit harsh on Modric. He wasnt too bad.I guess i expect more from him, but its always gonna be difficult playing in a side that is struggling like Spurs are. He is a good player so hopefully he will come good. Why the fuck did Corluka leave city?

Him and Modric are best friends. I guess he figured he could help Modric out in England.
He also said that he had no regrets of leaving City even with the new owner and that not everything is about money.

Funny thing is with Spurs and Modric, they have played him centre mid, expecting him to be a box to box midfielder which isn't his role. Man Utd once made the same mistake with Veron.

Spurs are awful, were awful last season too.

Bentley is wack as fuck though, £15m? Why the fuck did he cost so much. Get someone like Diego Capel or Jesus Navas for less.

For now I actually blame the Spur' recent defeats on Ramos' conservative, almost cowardly tactics. Like Flip said, how do you expect goals with 1 man upfront on an island, in a team thats not doing well in the first place? You can't expect the lines to connect fluidly.

They really need to get their act together to prevent further misery. Already it looks like a lost season. 8 matches 2 pts is just awful.

Aye, but Spurs don't really have enough strikers at the moment, Pavlychenko and Bent can't seem to play together, they do have Frazier Campbell on loan from us, he looks good but is unproven at Premiership level.

Spurs fucked around with the Berbatov deal, if they sold him a few weeks earlier they could've found a good replacement and someoen different to Pavlychenko and Bent.

Spurs selling Defoe/Keane/Berbatov is a receipe for disaster.
