^^yes they were absolutely pathetic. Not even a single proper chance in the whole game. what about Ballack? the guy cant run anymore. Same with Drogba. They didnt even show any fight. They were a disgrace. They might not even get in the top 4 the way they are going.

Chelsea need to get rid of Scolari imo. I think he has fucked them up big time. He has them trying to play a kind of close passing game that they arent able to play. In all fairness what is his big achievements as a football manager.? If i managed Brazil at the 2002 World Cup they would have won it. That team was practically a dream team. It didnt take a genius to make them win. They had Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho in the same team for fucks sake. I cant understand the logic of sacking Avram Grant after last season.

Yeah me neither... The guy took them when they were going nowhere and led them to a CL final and 2nd place in the league...

Lol at some of the studio analysts, yes Chelsea were shite today but they aren't out of the title race yet. However i'd be very suprised if Scolari was there at the start of the next season unless they pull off the treble.

Ballack has been woeful recently indeed.

But the Brazil comment, you do realise that Brazil team were god awful during the qualifiers and only manganed to get to the WC by winning their last game against Venzeula, didnt they go through about 4 managers during the qualification process? Scolari made a big decision to actually include Ronaldo and Ronaldinho in his squad, there was question marks over Ronaldinhos actual ability and Ronaldo's fitness. Remember he dropped Romario which caused huge controversy. Scolari changed a team full of individual talent to an actual team which had many avenues to their game, not the one which other managers used in that time period which consisted of a weak midfield with little creativity.

It isn't Scolaris fault that Drogba is looking past it, Deco is past it, Ballack is past it, Lampard isn't doing it of late and the fact they miss Essien big time. Anelka turns up when he likes and Joe Cole has the ability but rarely uses it, the squad isn't as good as people think, alot are playing just for their reputation thats it.

Yea i remember it well. Brazil had alot of problems during that qualifying campaign which were mainly down to the pressure they were under to perform in home games and injuries but you have to agree that Brazil team was head and shoulders above everything at the 2002 WC when they had all their big players fit. You are right though, he has done alot with Portugal as well. So as an international coach he is excellent. But this Chelsea team havent got the type of players to play the type of game he wants to play. They are also very unorganised on set pieces now as well.

Yeah defending wise, Chelsea look very unorganised, which they shouldn't be, the size of their players compared to other teams is big. They lack off the ball runners, most of the midfield is over 30 and they just don't have the energy. Makalele and Essien did this for Chelsea fantastically.

Scolari did well with Portugal i agree, just look at the mess they are in now  fans calling for C.Ronaldo to be stripped of his captaincy and dropped also.

Chelsea were awful. Cech has never been the same after his head knock, Bosingwa is pretty average defensively, Deco has flopped, Ballack and J Cole have had a handful of good games between them in the past year and Drogba looks totally uninterested.

They have such a poor squad, they need atleast another top class striker.

They have missed Essian a lot though.

P.S - Why was Rooney not booked for blatant dissent ?

why wasnt he booked for kicking out at a chelsea player near the corner flag. He gets away with everything.

Liverpool can get a result at OT if Benitez goes with his strongest team. Torres upfront with Gerrard behind him, Riera and Kuyt wide with Mascherano and Alonso holding. No doubt he'll end up going with Keane or Lucas or end up resting players for the CL.

^^nah he will play Torres for that game unless god forgid that he is injured or something. But yea starting Lucas is like something he could do. I was looking at some stats there yesterday. Alonso makes more passes than any other player in the league and has a pass completion ratio 86%. When he is out he is a big loss to the team. He is our Xavi. And as for Keane, he hasnt played the last two league games which is a bit strange considering he scored 3 goals in the last 2 league games he played. I dont get why he wasnt put on against Stoke.

No real striker at Chelsea. Drogba doesn't want to be there. Hell, since Mourinho's departure he's wanted to leave. Anelka is a little turd. Big talk, no show. Lazy striker, like someone said; shows up when he wants to.

Midfield, Ballack? rofl. I remember last season Kranjcar fooling around with him in the midfield. Lampard has his days, I never rated him much anyways. Deco, days are over.

Chelsea needs a big revamp. Scolari is a great manager, I don't deny that. I think the players just don't understand his vision of playing.

If you want to know whats a useless manager. Aragones. Spain didn't even need a manager for the Euros, their starting 11 says it all, hell, their bench says it all lol. I assumed it would be them or the Dutch who'd take it, (and maybe Croatia :D )

I have a question, why is Lucas not rated by Liverpool fans, I don't know much about him just that hes a young player from Brazil. All the Liverpool fans I know hate to see him in the team, hes not that bad is he?

Btw its a joke that Anelka is the top scorer in the league, quite abit ahead too. Torres seems to be right, the Premiership defenders are easy :wondering:

^^I dunno if you saw the Stoke game and some of the other games Lucas has played this season. He was awful. He had a good game against Newcastle because they have a non-existent central midfield. I dont think Lucas is good enough. Benitez must love him. Its still hard to believe that he started alot of games ahead of Alonso last season. Maybe he can improve, i dunno.

Its interesting that as soon as Makelele left Real Madrid, they went to shit and now he has left Chelsea and they seem to have gone to shit too. Mikel has done well in that position but not against the big teams. Its not his natural position either.

I remember a quote from Zinedine Zidane after Makelele was let leave Real Madrid and after they signed Beckham. It is similar to what you are saying there Flipmo.

"Why put another layer of gold paint on the Bentley when you are losing the entire engine?"

That is so true.
