Im was thinking of going there to work. The money they pay for construction and engineering jobs is unreal. the only thing that puts me off is the heat and the fact that you cant drink alcohol over there.

I know a few people who have been to New Zealand and they have said that it is absolutely beautiful.
 
Not A Bad List.. i would rearrange a few of them. and no i wouldnt live in Florida, visit.. yeah but not live there. not with all the hurricanes they get.

This is a good thing about living in Ireland and UK. Their are no earthquakes, Hurricanes, tornados etc. We get the occasional bad storm.The wildlife isnt really dangerous at all. Ok it rains all the time and cost of living is high but we are lucky in alot of ways
 
I'd go to UK to see architecture, one of the finest. But it rains way too much for me.

New Zealand listed at number one place to live? What so great about New Zealand?

I'm surprised Greece didn't make the list.

Conditions for laborers and their treatment is unreal as well, but not in the utopian sense.
 
^^i wouldnt be going there to work as a labourer. In that heat lol. Id go there to work as a CAD Technician, Health and Safety officer or a project manager.

i have seen jobs advertised for a senior cad technican (i worked as a junior technician here) with a starting wage of 80,000 a year as well as accomodation and transport.
 
A piece of grass in Dubia would be like $10,000. UK cost of living is also a shit ton and plus those horrible taxes.

The list is more about 10 of the "nicest" places to live, certainly not the top 10 insofar living conditions. Like SOFI said, the semi-slave labour that built Dubai is shocking. South Africa has massive problems with health and poverty. Even Portugal and Spain and to a lesser extent, Italy, have a lot of still very poor areas.

Ok, then if it's like that, my pick would be a vagina. I live in Vagina and I love it. It's a very tropical climate; very warm and wet. Not alot of inhabitants, and the Pooper is just a 5 second flight over the gooch.

I dunno if you have ever read up on Dubai or got any of those emails about it, but the way they have developed that place and their plan for future developments is unbelievable. They have plans to build the biggest theme park in the world, 4 or 5 huge football stadiums as well as various other projects. Basically everything they are building is going to be the best and biggest in the world. Now this is the thing that really annoys me along with the semi slave labour, they are spending unbelievable amounts of money on these projects. Most of the stuff is unnecessary especially stuff like the football stadiums (what football is gonna be played in Dubai?). While they are wasting money on this shit, there are kids starving not too far away in Africa and in parts of the middle east. Some of the stuff is pretty cool but i feel that they are building alot of this stuff just so they can boast to the rest of the world.

Read up on Dubai's laws. They are fucking messed up because it's still ruled under Islamic law. If you get physical with a woman you aren't married to, they can deport you. Not to mention how hard it is to become a citizen of Dubai.
