Firefox 3 - Set A World Record

Spread Firefox | Download Day 2008

Today is the official launch of Firefox 3. It's supposed to be 2-3 times faster than Firefox 2, and 7-8 times faster than Internet Explorer.

The launch starts at 10AM PST (6PM for us UK'ers), and Mozilla are trying to set a world record for the most downloads in 24 hours.

So make sure you cop it between that time today and tomorrow in order to be a part of that record.

Can't wait, Firefox shits on every other Web Browser by a mile.

Technically Opera is better. I also prefer it to Firefox. Anyway both are really similar in use.

How is it "technicaly" better? Opera is a good browser, but support and developements from both users and developers is minute compared to that of Firefox.

I never liked Firefox. It's always been a slow piece of shit imo. I also never gave a fucking damn about my browser program. I just want the shit to work properly, something Firefox often neglected to do.

Also, I've always been annoyed at the seemingly long time it takes for the program to be actually functional from the moment you clicked the icon. IE has always been much quicker imo.

Firefox is faster and more stable than IE for me. Always has been. It's one of the reasons I switched, although there are many more.

See, that's the odd thing. Everyone around me always told me "Firefox is faster, Firefox is more stable, Firefox has better support, Firefox is better overall". I've honestly tried it many times, but every-fucking-time I've been disappointed by it and went back to using IE.

IE sucks MAJOR balls. It cant even do half the things I need my browser to do. Firefox can basically do anything you want it do because of the vast array of plugins. I have a Facebook toolbar, an FTP client, an Image Shack right click to upload function, AdBlock Plus (BEST EXTENSION EVER) and a bunch of other shit on my Firefox and it still loads faster than a clean IE install.

IE is ghey.
