Technology GTA 4 Thread

Swedish Gamereactor mentioned in their 10/10 review that they were pretty surprised regarding the difference between the PS3 and 360-versions. The PS3-version features better colours, contrast, load times and what looks to be better resolution textures. The game also looks sharper and has a more stable fps.

I gotta totally zone out from even thinking about GTA IV in order to resist the temptation of falling into their marketing and buy the console just because of gta.. in the next 6+ months...
 
is the driving like the other GTA or it's improved? i mean do cars stick more to the road...is it more realistic?
because in GTA san andreas for example,the car was slidin',it wasn't realistic a lot,amazing at the beginning but boring after some times...
 
50", you motherfucker. I only have a 32" in my room. My copy was posted today but it says estimated delivery time 3-5 days? Wtf, I hope it gets here tomorrow I can't wait 3 days.
 
I've played it all day, it's awesome :D I don't want to give away too much, you guys will soon have it ;)

I would have played it all night if I didn't have to get up early tomorrow. :D

The driving is harder and more realistic now, the turning is alot more realistic. Don't expect to go flying around a corner at top speed, well some cars handle better than others.

I loved driving and car handling in San Andreas in opposite to other wacky racing games like Need for speed or Test drive :(

The sliding there was cool.


btw. since the latest xtreme mod where you can play copies without getting banned on live I'm seriously thinking about 360.
 
I have a question about ps3 controls:
I remember reading long ago that ps3 controllers only respond to 2 levels of depression on their trigger buttons. Is that true?
Because all those l1,l2,r1,r2 buttons are flat compared to the xbox triggers so it would be harder to "feel" them.
When I played San Andreas on my xbox (5-8 levels of depression on trigger buttons depending on controller) I could press it exactly as I wanted and accelerate or brake as much as I wanted. How is it in ps3?
 
i have gta4 since thursday lol!

personally am not enjoying the driving its nt as easy as it was.

you hav to reali slow down on turns and 9.5/10 you'll drift on to

the side of the wall.very difficult to drive,maybe once new cars

are unlocked.best car ive found so far is called "turismo" next to

mikhails house who you have to kill (oops not spoiling it am i)

still one hell of a game.
