i was at the metro waiting all pissed off and tired from my day at work. this random guy thats looks like a i-am-a-loser-that-doesnt-have-a-life walks towards me. when i saw him i knew immediately that he was going to talk to me or ask me something. so there he goes, he asks me what the time is. i tell him the time, he goes "WOWWWW i didn't know it was this late, btw what's your name?". i give him a "who the fuck do you think you are to bother me and i'm listening to my music" look and told him "how interesting". then he's like wtf and tells me he's sorry and walks away.

anyways all of this to say, do you guys still use this to start talking to people? i find it so annoying and lacking of originality. first you drag your loser-ish ass to come talk to me and secondly you try to start up conversation with the "do you have time" question. ain't got anything better? you know.

Well, he didn't pull it off right. You can't just go "by the way, what's your name?" Plus, he looked like a loser. If he looked like a younger Tom Cruise, it would have sounded much better, no? :)

I've never done shit like that, but I've asked for a cigarette or a lighter...when I had a cigarette and a lighter. :) That one works.

Never really walked up to a girl until I get the 'Green light' look. As for him looking like a loser, was he like dirty, badly dressed and stinky?

You have to give the guy credit, it takes a lot for a man to walk up to someone and hit on them, no matter how shitty the line is. lol.

I'd rather wait till a good looking girl walks up to me and asks me for the time, then I don't give it to them cause I tell them it's going to cost them a name :D (cheesy yes I know lol)

You lie to her Tha Wood..

~What time is it?
- Uh... 1:30pm...
~ Wait... It's pitch black outside, how can it be 1:30pm?
- ... so what's your name? :horny:

Mission complete.

Sometimes when I don't have time to come out with anything better I ask about time but in rather funny context turning it into a joke to make girl know what's up from the start.. if you know what I mean :p But sometimes I really want to ask what time it is when I don't have my mobile and watch with me, and everytime I do it girls give me a smile thinking it's a pick up line.

In the UK, if some one asks you for the time, it means you are about to get jacked.
