I had a situation with a university friend of mine that was so minor but pissed me off a lot. This girl is from my university, we have known each other for over 3 years, worked on most projects together and went out from time to time (she's not really a social animal).
So today me and another friend of ours went to the cinema, it was all fun and stuff. She always drives us home and it was late so that's what she was going to do today as well. My other friend lives closer to the cinema, so it was the first stop, but there they had to go upstairs for a minute because she had to pick something up. So we were almost there and I was like "alright, I'll just stay downstairs and wait for you" and she suddenly went serious like "I'm not letting you stay in the car". I thought to myself - what the fuck did you just say? I said "I'll wait outside, I won't break in so don't worry about your windows". It was so ridiculous to me and I still can't believe that shit, it felt like betrayal. After all those years trust is the least I'd expect. She came back and drove me home like nothing happened.

You shouldn't tell people you root your phones. They're like, "Really, that's impressive." mental note: *don't leave him alone with my stuff *

You should have said, "are you sure you feel safe driving me home alone? I'll stay in the back seat, or the trunk if you want."

But seriously, that is mighty unfriendly and I would break contact with this girl after that. Or the least be polite if you interact but don't hang out with her again. Let her figure it out if she cares.

Just ate at this Italian restaurant called rao's. Pretty good, meatballs were tasty. for reasons unknown the sommelier gave us shot glasses of Louis xiii. Im not a big cognac drinker but i wish I could afford that on the regular.

I wouldn't talk to her again.

Shut up and accept your gift, you peasant.

I'll play devil's advocate here for a second just to possibly hit what she might have been thinking at the time.

I don't know the kind of area you live in; whether it be a good area or one filled with ungrateful blackies. But I too could see myself irrationally not wanting someone to sit in my car while I am gone for more than a minute or two. But the thing is it's not a trust issue with the person I'm leaving behind. I wouldn't leave my sister in the car alone if I wasn't there to watch over her. But instead it bothers me and I feel that they may attract more attention to my car for someone look to rob them or the car.

Like I said, it's irrational, but if I'm driving my car and someone offers to stay behind and I'm gonna be gone for over a minute and out of eyeshot from my car, I'd want them with me. Not because they'll steal, but I feel the chances of getting robbed increase when you are in a car. I can't think like a robber would, but I would see someone sitting down in a car as real easy to put a gun to the window and get them out and rob them and car.

I could lock the doors while they're in it, but my BMW has sensors that detect movement within the car so that will set the alarm off too. Also, I have a BMW, I don't want some coon even looking at it; go rob the Mexican with the Chevy Cavalier.

I was thinking about it for a while, because I've known her for long and we've been through memorable stuff together, but she's the type of nerd girl who doesn't have a Facebook account or lots of friends. Thus I was thinking that maybe she didn't plan to say this, maybe it came kind of natural and she hadn't thought about it even for a moment. I'm pretty sure she didn't realize she did something wrong, because sometimes she has that annoying thing about her when she complains or gets annoyed for no reason, sometimes happens to say shit and then acts like nothing happened.

I wouldn't want to sleep with her. It's not because she looks that bad or something, it's because I find her asexual. I can imagine this being the right thing to do in many other cases though.

Coonie, it wasn't a dangerous place. She parked in front of a security gate and there's a security guy there. Also, no guns here.

I know that I'm not going to call her to hang out now, but I'm sure some day she's going to do it. Or some other friends is going to invite us both. I know I won't treat her like a friend anymore, more like a distant colleague.

Honestly, it was a comment. Get over yourself.

I gotta agree with Funk, it was just a comment, but it's understandable how it could have been said in the wrong way by her or taken in the wrong way by you.

I say give her another chance, and if she does say or do something that indicates a lack of trust, distance yourself a bit.

But by looking at your description of her, she seems a bit like a cynic herself. No Facebook could be for many reasons, but no friends is a big giveaway that she may be socially awkward. And for this reason, people tend to shy away from her.

Just relax and see what happens next. Like I said, her personality may be as such that she doesn't know how to say something politely or express what she really feels. Or she could be a cunt. Either way, time and patience will tell.
